2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
I'm a 10 point underdog on yahoo in the first round of the playoffs. The only player who has played was Kyren Williams (for me) and he slightly underperformed.
I think he's probably a 5-8 point favorite based on looking at Vegas prop numbers. Either way, it's pretty clear I am the underdog.
I have Nico Collins.
Who would you start at QB? Mahomes (@ Cle), Baker (@ LAC), or CJ Stroud (vs. MIA)?
CJ Stroud has been terrible and Miami has been tough against QBs but I can see it being a high scoring game and it makes sense to increase variance and connect my QB to Nico Collins.
Plus, Mahomes will be playing in rain this weekend.
Shitty position either way, somehow had the most points in the league and I miss the bye and face the toughest team in the league in the first round.
What would you do?
In a vacuum it’s a coin flip so I guess with your situation it makes sense to go with the higher variance play and take CJ for the correlation
Proj own ended up being around 35% on Chuba so I settled on 25%
Tez Walker!!!
**** Davante Adams
Picks the worst time to have a big game.
I have 164 on dk best ball and one point out of first lol
lol
Did Amari cooper get hurt?
Jared Goff with the ultimate garbage time performance, very reminiscent of Andrew Luck
Not sure about all your leagues, but in mine
-plenty of huge comebacks (like shocking in size)
-plenty of big upsets
This was a year I was damn happy to have byes
Squeaked into the playoffs in dynasty after trading away basically all of my 2025 picks, plus some in 26/27. Going to lose mostly due to adams/Rodgers, but also because I have Stafford/K Williams/J Taylor.
Down 24.3 with his Hock and my C Williams/K Allen to go.
Thought I had a chance with him getting a 0 from Kupp, but my team needs some additional impact.
I have a good rb room overall (Brown, K Williams, Jacobs, JT, B Allen, Chubb, Najee), but could use help at qb or wrong i suppose. TE isn't terrible either, with Kittle/Otton/Kraft.
Mostly going to run it back next year, with maybe a few tweaks. Fun times.
Amazing Sunday of fantasy for me. My dynasty team put up 200pts and I should be though in redraft unless something really freaky happens
Also this group of sexy mofos below put up 214pts in best ball giving me at least 1 team through to round 3
Gibbs owners fist pumping hard at this Monty news
I can't wait to fade first round Barkley and second round Henry next season.
Just took a look at my top teams to see what kind of a sweat I'll have for tonight's games.
Doesn't feel good with JJ and Bijan still on the board, and all my Bijan teams are in 4th in worst.
Teams in 1st
1. 0 players
2. Swift, Caleb, Kmet
3. Odunze, Mooney
Teams in 2nd
1. Addison
2. Allgeier
3. Bowers
4. 0 players
5. 0 players
6. Odunze, Caleb, Jakobi, Kmet
Teams in 3rd
1. Moore, Caleb, Kmet
2. Odunze
3. naked Darnold lol
4. Jefferson, Odunze
I came close to trading BIjan in dynasty (after obtaining him and Shaheed for CMC). But stuck with it. Love where he's wound up.
It's my lack of Jacobs shares that I hate.
4th quarter of Bills/Lions crippled my advance rate yesterday. Had 5 of 16 in bbm advancing, comfortably down to 2 of 16. Hopefully I can get a couple more in today so I can maybe luckbox 1 into the finals
Good luck.
I didn't fire any BBMs, but I drafted 887 teams on UD. I advanced 135, which was about 23 short of expectation. Currently, I'm advancing 30 of those teams to next week. I'd be pleased if that held. I'm guessing I will lose a few, but I also have some not currently advancing with live players and in range.
I advanced one Flock team and lost the heads up, which is annoying lol.
My DK results weren't very good but sample size was a lot smaller . I fired 92 teams and advanced 10, which was about 5 short of expectation. Currently, I'm not advancing any of these teams and not looking like I will.
