Massively down on PokerStars Spins

I'm currently down 190 buy-ins playing the Spin and Go's! Its an absolute nightmare as my equity favorite all-ins get beat nine times out of ten as the board relentlessly misses my hand while hitting my opponents! Whenever I play the free games my virtual bankroll steadily rises (though the free Spin and Go's are more generous with the multipliers) but as soon as I switch to real cash the nightmare begins - I couldn't win if I was dealt aces every hand!!!

I'm on my third bankroll and its just the same never-ending downward spiral! I can't help feeling there is some kind of cheating going on either by Stars itself or by players who call all-ins with weak cards always seemingly just at the right time! I don't play trash hands and I push my premiums (A'J, A'Q, AK, Pairs) aggressively but its just money down the drain as K'9 outdraws my A'Q nine times out of ten!

Frankly I'm at my wits end!!!

Don't worry stars is a legit site you aren't being cheated. These fast SNG formats have extreme variance which can be very tilting and force more and more mistakes, so you need to be very resilient as well as skilled to beat them. You can post some hand histories or stats if you have them for advice on these forums.

Thanks for the reply but I've just finished a two hour session (literally five minutes ago) and I'm now an additional 21 buy-ins down (playing two tables!) This now makes me 211 total down on the current bankroll (300 buy ins) on top of the previous lost bankrolls! I'm starting to develop a real physical fear of the river as the board run-out endlessly misses my equity favorite hand while bestowing the underdog his/her saving card on the river! And its almost ALWAYS the river!!!

I've played many hours of free Spins games and the most I've ever been down is 43 buy-ins! I'll admit I'm no great player - I just fold all hands T'9 and under, limp in when I've got J'T to Q'8, raise when I've got Q'9 and above and shove all-in when I've got A'J to A'K and pairs! A simple strategy which in standard poker would be very exploitable but Spins is a different animal. And my problem with this beast isn't predictability, its that my equity hands rarely hold up in REAL CASH play! (they do fine in free play)

I've got 89 buy-ins left on my current bankroll and I'm going to video record my remaining playing sessions (which I expect to lose)! What I'll do with this footage is anyone's guess (upload it to YouTube maybe) but again thanks you for your encouraging reply.

I've played man

You can download the hands from stars and upload to a tracker (holdem manager has free trial if you haven't got one), then you can share the stats, and it might put into perspective the variance you encounter. I would probably recommend you play cash games over spins because a bit less tilting IMO.
