Diamond in a Day - CET Total Rewards
Is it still possible to get Diamond in a Day?
I have read about it in the past, just curious.
If you are able to play on a 10k multiplier day, you can get Diamond pretty damn cheap.
$14,000 coin-in on a 9/5 JoB machine has an EV loss of about $200.
You have to get quite lucky to manage that, no matter what the supposed odds say. The last 2 or 3 times I played trying to get 1000 tc, I fell well short and fed at least that much through the machine. I get MUCH luckier on non-multiplier days.

The previous 5X multiplier trips I’ve been on have been brutal. This 10x trip about two weeks ago though was great. Five full days of VP and slot play hit more bonuses, premium quads and Royals than I have in the last 4 trips to Vegas.

We’re back to they rig the machines on multiplier days. From what I have read here doing that would violate gaming regs and risk punishment from them. I am sure they could do that on table games by tweaking how pit boss rates you. I guess they could also tweak the hold on slots. But for video poker, again what I have read here, they can’t tweak VP ev.
I have played in multiple sites on 5x and 10x days multiple times. I have never noticed a pattern of lower EV on multiplier days

lots of variance involved, if not hitting quad aces or royals you're definitely going to lose bigly

I don't think it is about claiming the machines are rigged on multiple days as much as it is a recognition that variance is absurd for this. On JoB on a multiplier day, a person can quote what the expected EV is, but that EV greatly depends upon if a royal is hit or the number of straight flushes/quads.
The EV is a long run measurement, but the time/money required to get Diamond during a multiplier day is very much a short term deal. Saying the EV is - $200 misses the point that it is more likely to be +/- thousands. Hit the royal or an abnormal number of SF/quads and it is a positive experience. Not hitting a royal or a low number of SF/quads and it will cost a order of magnitude (or more).

I agree on variance. But the thing about variance is it flows both ways. Saying the expected cost is $200 (assuming that was accurate, I have not run the numbers) is exactly the expected cost. Sure for many it will be much higher but it is equally likely some will make money (in the thousands). The statement that 'it is more likely to be' is true for all things driven by variance.
So yes the expected cost is $200 but that certainly can range up to $15K (but the odds of that are infinitesimal)
As to the if this is about rigging going on, that is certainly where this discussion has been in the past. Particularly with certain people in this thread. Most of this has focused on pit bosses under rating per instruction to do so. I would have to look if P4B has been in this camp to be certain (but IIRC he has) but there is no doubt that parties have alluded to that CET does tilt the odds against on multiplier days.
Personally, I always add 2% to the hold (on classic VP games) as that is roughly the EV attributable to Royal Flushes. At 650K to 1, I don't count on that 2% of EV (note, I have hit exactly 1 royal playing classic VP and it wasn't on a multiplier day.)

Sure they can. All they have to do is change the RNG. Not legal of course.

Being that I've been Diamond or higher for at least the last 7 or 8 years, that indicates I play a lot of vp. I haven't hit a royal in 3 years at least.
Royal flush odds in video poker are more like 1 in 42000 depending which game you are playing.
Looks like the 1 in 650k is flopping a royal.

I do the same. I just assume I'm never getting a royal.
I did get dealt a king high straight flush once.
In deuces wild you'd draw for the royal
I figured it was not deuces wild

If you're playing JOB it doesnt matter which quads you hit, it's the same.
Personally from experience (as that's what I did in Jan, $14k through 9/5 JOB) I'd say you want to take $2k to feel comfortable. I'd also play triple play at quarters over single line dollars as this will reduce the variance (those dead hands you miss on at single line can sometimes hit on triple play) but even then I needed a Royal to finish up (sadly not dealt, so only $1k) and probably wouldnt have been up without it, but I never dropped below $1k out of my pocket.

Single line is brutal, probably take over 10 hours. I did that before I found the goodness of multi-line. My arms were sore as hell. Whenever I went to take a leak, someone snaked my machine. Better to find a 3 line or 5 line machine.
Looks like the drink vouchers are no longer available for diamond plus at Caesar’s-owned Starbucks in Vegas. Not sure if it has been discussed here.
And it looks like Caesars is making it easier and easier to achieve diamond plus through more and more tier multiplier events.
I wonder, by the time they get around to scrapping and re-imagining their broken reward program, will there be any gamblers left for Caesars? I mean, unless they go on some sort of massive PR push, it seems to me that the foul taste they leave in folks’ mouths with the constant erosion of benefits will outlast the company’s solvency.
Btw, a medium drink at Starbucks at PH now costs $12. I think their only customers will be 7-star freebies pretty soon.
So I earned 15,432 tier credits from the Vegas 10X multiplier a few weeks ago and the tier credits posted to my account a few days ago ensuring my diamond status for the rest of 2025 and 2026. I also have the Caesers credit card. This morning, my account shows that I am now GOLD. WTF!! Even if the tier credits didn't exist, the credit card automatically gives you Platinum status. Hoping that it is just some kind of internal update lag. Waiting for Caesers Rewards desk to open so that I can
Hello dude, how did you get your 15,432 tier credit ? can you explain please.
Thanks
Hello all,
Where can i found a single 0 electronic roulette in vegas or somewhere else ?
Is electronic roulette good earn tier credits ? and is it ok for the x10 promotion ?
Thanks

It's true that your results on any given day will be mostly determined by luck. But as poker players, we should always be thinking about long term EV and trusting that the luck will even out in the long term. I know I've mentioned this before, but the day I did DIAD on a multiplier last year, I won $700 (despite being well down on video poker for the year overall).

I don't know about electronic roulette, but electronic table games in general are almost always very bad for tier credit accumulation. I remember playing electronic baccarat for TCs several years back (betting player and banker at the same time). It was $45/TC, and baccarat has a much better payback than even single-zero roulette.
Also check the fine print, There is a 5x day coming up at my local Harrah's in Florida, but VP is excluded :(

If one is not going to be playing much then I would say variance is as big of a consideration if not a bigger consideration than actual EV.
Anybody already tried that ? or know about that ?
They said they give x30 reward credit for every 1$ spent.
so to have 15.000 points we just need to buy 500 $ flowers ? right ?
thanks
