I wonder what the incident rate of that was per million subway journeys?

Still, more than enough to keep the scaredycats of the world like mongi off public transport. It's a wonder that this guy ever gets on a plane (or maybe he doesn't do that either).

In my experience a girl

Please provide a resume of your experience with the opposite sex so we have a backdrop against which to evaluate your opinions. I assume an alpha male such as yourself should have no issues establishing your credentials in this regard. Thanks in advance.

Asking if it is a conflict of interest for a person openly bigoted towards men to be in position of power over a thread consisting of just men seems to be a reasonable question.

It’s like asking if it’s a conflict of interest for conservative men; who think women are DEI, should be subservient, are unfit to lead, have to sleep their way to the top, and etc, to be modded by a women

I'm not a "scaredycat". I just happen to come from privilege and don't need to slum it like many of you.

by mongidig m

I wonder if that lady who got lit on fire was ignoring the crazy person.

Do you believe that it is generally better to engage with erratic people who you encounter in a public place than ignore them? If so, you must live in a cave.

Conservatives are cowards, especially when it comes to people. They are afraid of people. Yeah, you can dig up stories about people hurt on mass transit, but the alternative? I have several examples without having to go too far into my extended family of people killed or very seriously hurt in motor vehicle crashes. It's literally two orders of magnitude more dangerous.

I don't know how many of us would consider being born at the very top of the moron tree and hitting every branch on the way down "privileged".

Your parents having money does explain how you managed to obtain a degree without being able to spell it, though.

Tens of millions of people who could afford to drive around the suburbs in cars choose instead to live in urban areas and use public transportation. "Needing to slum it" as some sort of virtue signalling is probably #10,000 on the list of reasons for why people choose to differently than you.

They also seemingly cannot do math. As you point out, if you rely mainly on cars for transportation, your chances of serious injury or death are orders of magnitude higher than if you rely mainly on public transportation.

Is this really what you think I was saying? "It's better to engage with erratic people".

Is it a reading comprehension thing with you people or are you legitimately this disingenuous in your responses.

by Rococo m

They also seemingly cannot do math.

Conservatives attempting to do basic arithmetic has certainly been a never-ending source of entertainment on this forum.

I don't think there is a Conservative in here who would have posted a shirtless picture of themselves on a roof to share with a handful of other men. So cool. I realize you had to prove your point because you are quite braggadocious. We saw your little brag about going to a Bernie rally on public transit. So cool!

Once again it's not about the danger of mass transit it's about preferring to not be around scummy people.

by mongidig m

Once again it's not about the danger of mass transit it's about not being around scummy people.

My dude, that ship has sailed - you are around a scummy person 24 hours a day.

Right. You've had lots of time to workshop your response (internally and to other people) to being shown to be a simpering coward. Once again, you're terrified of getting off the wrong freeway exit in San Diego, which is in some rankings the very safest big city in the USA.

That seemed to be the implication based on the example you cited. But I didn't know. That's why I asked the question.

I usually can deduce what reasonably intelligent people are trying to say. It's harder to know with you.

And, on the first level it could seem that when you repeatedly call yourself an "alpha" it's bragging, it's just too childish and pathetic to register as a brag. Pretty much everyone else here would rather be sent to El Salvador than live the Andrew Tate life you imagine represents winning.

Yeah. At a minimum, he should cover all the mirrors in his house so that he doesn't have to look such people in the eye.

It's not math its psychology

An "accident" is much different than an "attack". Everyone knows this. People are scared of sharks vs....

Why are you piling on with this dumb.... never mind, your disdain wins again

Conservatives are far less common in urban vs rural areas for a reason. There is measurable psychological differences between these groups. I live in the city center and taking a bus sounds almost as bad as spending an hour in jail

It's conservative psychology.

I guess that I can understand why you are caping for mongidig. As long as he is around, there is someone here worse than you.

Also, this has very little do with mongidig's politics (or yours). There are conservatives here that I never ridicule, even though I disagree with them about a great many things.

I totally get the reasons for not using public transport if you can afford it - comfort, convenience, not being restricted by timetables, etc, but "not being around scummy people" is so puerile and cretinous it's almost caricaturish.

We are going to Iceland this summer. We will be renting a transit van with a bed in the back and driving the Ring road. It is safe there to just pull off on the side of the road and sleep. Can you safely do that in San Diego or anywhere in the US? Maybe in Wyoming or Montana. I suppose there are other red states that are safe. I was gonna include the Scandinavian countries but recent immigrant issues have ruined that.

What makes either of us bad? Is it that we have different opinions than you?

Again, you're just a coward. Lots of people pull of the road and sleep in San Diego and it's not dangerous.

Like this guy spent a big part of last year doing that in SD.

It's not dangerous to drive around and camp in Iceland (where they have more freedom - here most of that is illegal) either, but probably more dangerous considering the possible weather and there being a greater chance of no one being around to help if you get in an accident or something.

Do you or do you not realize that biology / personality is a much bigger factor in political affiliation than any intelligence metric?

Same question for D2.
