The rumours of Najee Harris doing a JPP on July 4th turned out to be true

'superficial eye injury' the same thing as losing two fingers these days

"Superpirepheral visual injury" for today's tongue-twister!

as an aside, icy seas and downward sails suggest avoiding any vision of cornering the oceanside crustacean abode re-sell market

death to a meme

Nuts!

Browns still Browning.

My favorite line from the linked article:

In his lone season at Ohio State, Judkins was part of a one-two punch running back group with TreVeyon Henderson,

Sorry SRM

Saw that. Laughed

What’s even the point anymore

Garrett Wilson 4/130-90

I’m not sure what I think about him tbh. But I guess he’s young and consistent despite the ordinary QB play he’s suffered through and it’s gonna look like good value in a few years

nominative determinism suggests he heavily relies upon the ability to clap and block in self-defense like a jason garrett with the locker room isolation skills of a russell wilson
perfect skills for a wide receiver should fit right in with the jorts
sorry, but i'm mc lovin' it

I’m McMuffin it.

He’s really good.

Quarterback has made me like the Lions even more. Sucks.

Sauce Gardener 4/120-84.

Great business for the Texans to extend Stingley earlier in the offseason (he got 3/90) as he is clearly the better player

Pat Surtain signed a year ago for 4/94-77 and will probably already feel underpaid

Trey Smith extension with the Chiefs 4/94-70

I am comfortable admitting that I don't watch or think much about Guard play at all, so it's hard to have any strong opinions on this, but of note that this is the highest ever Interior Lineman contract. Only 1 Pro Bowl and Pff have him as their 10th best Guard from 2024

of note to me...he was the #1 prospect in the nation coming out of high school in 2017, but somehow slipped to the 6th round.

He had blood clot issues in his lungs while in college. The issue was discovered prior to the start of his sophomore season, they thought the issue had been resolved, but it reappeared halfway through the season. He missed the rest of the season, but then played his junior and senior seasons.

I always think the NFL docks medicals too much. I get it for the first round, and maybe even into the 2nd round. But at a point, you should just take the best player, regardless of what the future medicals might be. The NFL would rather take a guy with bad character concerns than bad medicals. The fact he fell to the 6th is crazy. The draft is enough of a crapshoot as it is.

It's probably an overpay, but protecting Mahomes is the #1 priority.

TJ Watt 3/123-108

highest paid players by APY and Total guaranteed at each position

interesting (maybe only to me) that there's been no movement in the punter movement for several years

could it also be a sign of emo aussie rules footie players invading the nfl like 'roos?

I think there are 5 Aussie punters in the NFL but dozens of them in College. It’ll be interesting to see how many make it to the NFL in the next 5 years but yep, big strong kids all learn to punt a ball here, so we it makes sense. Albeit I don’t think the best athletes would leave AFL or NRL to go to the NFL unless they have an injury or can’t quite make it to the top here/are retired … eg Sav Rocca, Darren Bennett

too lazy to look for myself, besides you like contract talk.
how does pay compare between AFL,NRL,and NFL?

It makes the Landon Dickerson contract look pretty good!

What’s crystal clear is that….once you’ve decided that you want to extend your top players, the earliest you can do it in an offseason is the best time to do it.
