Weird seemed like more of a catch than the Texas one. Was only half watching though

LSU kicker shot himself in the foot during that miss???

Obvious TD was obvious.

I never understood why Klubnik is like, THE Heisman favorite. He wasn't impressive and still isn't.

Well I know "Klubnik" and "Manning" sound similar, but actually Klubnik is a different guy who's been in a preseason-virtual-tie for 3rd with Nuss and Sellers.

He actually had a decent number of "put the team on his back" moments last year. Like he was the only reason they were competitive against Texas when they had to [strike]play[/strike] start a WR at RB.

Brutal prevent WIL call sheet from Fighting Hawks.

UND played the classic prevent defense. Hate to see it

Dumbnik

Do they burn couches in Grand Forks?

Brother lives in Grand Forks...pretty sure they freeze couches up there to celebrate

Seriously. Imagine going from Saban to this clown. Alabama sucking these past two years is all coaching. Period.

They should call Saban up and offer $50 mil to coach for the rest of the year.

The 17 players who transferred after Saban slunk out of town probably a factor.

I’m not sure if Cade has this drive in him. But I guess we are about to find out.

Not in year 2, at Alabama, in the Portal era.

Edit to add, I'm a DeBoer fan, but maybe it's not a good fit.

True, but it was a valiant fight. He didn't look totally outclassed. Archie looks like he doesn't belong in the ring. That's the real issue.

It was a split decision ffs.

Utes offense operating at peak level, and by that I mean it just peaked for the season.

HAROLD PERKINS

Grunch:

How overrated is Arch Manning?

Would anyone even be talking about him if his name was Jim Nooyandeh?

Utah #2 ranked OL? Must be in conference not country. Some big TEs though, a trend they helped start.

Uekla probably pretty crappy but still best U’s looked in years.

No one can accuse Colorado State of not going for it.

They have more 5 stars on that team than any other team in the country. That’s such a bullshit excuse lmao. And that was before last year as well. Bama has still recruited better than anyone. This is all on DeBoer. He’s not Saban, but everyone should know that by now. Turns out you still need to coach to win games in the road.

FSU has to have the best pair of coordinators in the nation.

Tony White did an incredible job with Nebraska's defense, and you've got Gus Malzahn free to just be Gus on offense. Just massive upgrades there. Add in a QB that looks dynamic and you've got a fun team. Playoff contender.

Speaking from experience watching Gus for years he’s always been a great OC as well as a great offensive play creator. He still runs some really fun stuff that teams aren’t prepared for. He isn’t a great head coach. He probably has all the time in the world now to scheme up crazy stuff for games now that he doesn’t have to be a head coach and do everything. I remember hearing when he was the coach at Auburn he would start planning for the bama game the summer before hand. That’s why Auburn always gave bama fits when he was here. Makes sense because in other games we would **** the bed. It’s like he saved all his good **** for bama.

I know you guys were busy watching that JV game in Death Valley so I'll give you an update. I was wrong about Bryce Underwood. He's even better than expected. Every maize and blue corner of the internet is gushing about him nonstop. Other than that it was an ugly, sloppy game yesterday. Kinda typical for game 1 Michigan games. I don't think it's safe to extrapolate anything from it. But Bryce man. Dude is an alien. 3 national titles in a row is seriously on the table now. I tried to warn yall.

Never change, ILP.

Underwood had a very good debut, but come on, it was against ****ing New Mexico. Let's pump the brakes until at least he plays a P4 D. If he does anywhere as close to as well as last night against Oklahoma, then go ahead and do your hype man routine.

As for your premise, no it isn't. This is a C+ offensive line and there is one WR and one gadget guy. The defense is very good, but is at least a lockdown CB shy of elite. The window is likely to crack open in '26 but '27 is going to be their best shot if things hold together.

It's not just that they lost the game, it's how they lost. They lacked toughness and looked unprepared. Two things that would never happen under Saban. They got time to rebound, of course, but this trend of losing to average or below average teams is alarming. Who knew the Vanderbilt game would be a harbinger of consistent underachieving.

Dude. Look around you. We don't have to be Michigan 23, Georgia 22, LSU 19, Clemson 18 to win it all. There are no great teams out there. Everybody's got flaws. All four of those historical teams would crush anyone in this current field. There are like 10 teams out there that can legit say WHY NOT US. Not only are we one of those teams but we have the best QB out of all of them. That is now officially an open secret. Not hype.

Your mindset is about 5-10 years out of date. You don't need a super team to win it all anymore. Sure we'll probably be even better in 26 & 27 but the window is wide ****ing open right now. There is nobody out there we should fear. There is no 2012 Bama team coming for our throats. Those super loaded teams don't exist anymore. There are no monsters under the bed bro. That said, everyone who watched the Michigan game last night knows they better fear Underwood. As the New Mexico coach said after the game, "Maybe I'll be telling my grandkids one day that I got to coach against Bryce Underwood". Last time I heard anyone talk about an athlete that way it was Michael Jordan.

**** Clemson, lmao.

****ing cult.

After several rounds, I came to see this is fine and everything's going to be ok. Spend the rest of the season not playing transformed teams that have been game planning for us all summer. Get the qb some experience, slow down the injury bus, and take advantage of this being a "Tennessee and LSU at home" year.

Nothing matters, but I do highly recommend the Penelope Barrel Strength for internal fortitude.
