Had no idea Lou Holtz was still alive. Good for him and his family, lmao.

Not in year 2, at Alabama, in the Portal era.

Edit to add, I'm a DeBoer fan, but maybe it's not a good fit.

I was semi-trolling about the transfers.

He obviously did very very well at previous stops, but he had no connections at all with anything east of the Missouri River, nor any experience at a high pressure big time program (Meyer for example was a GA at Ohio and NDÂ’s WR coach for five years).

Replacing God was obviously going to be a thankless, mighty hill aside from the money; I get why they wanted to go completely outside the box, and why he took it. As always, the counterexample is Whittingham, who knew his limitations and has been lounging in the shade for twenty years and counting on a no pressure lifetime freeroll, thanks to, of course, beating Saban with MeyerÂ’s players.

Two things are for sure: De BoerÂ’s days of strolling across the campus high-fiving coeds on the way to his daughterÂ’s softball game are over, and with his buyout heÂ’ll have plenty of time to work on ballinÂ’ in the SEC, unless Jerry LewisÂ’ ghost helps the AD with the next round of begging the fans for money.

Alabama lost by two touchdowns in a season opener for the first time since 1970 (a 21-point loss against No. 3 USC).

The Polar Bears!

The sleeping giant begins to awaken tonight.

(Sigh). OK. I'll fall on the grenade for the others suffering in silence.

Can someone tell me what WIM (mentioned a few times the last couple of pages in reference to Alabama football) or WIL (mentioned a few times in the last couple of pages in reference to defense) stands for/means?

Google and Urban Dictionary are both failing me.

But seriously, this is one of the few games I really wanted to watch this weekend. Besides my auburn tigers and the Texas/Osu game. I’m really curious to see how this is gonna go. You either got yourself the next college football legend like Saban or this is gonna be a total **** shot. I feel like there’s no in between haha

The anticipation is very high haha. I still can't believe he's the coach, either. From the videos I've seen, CH is buzzing. There are a lot of high profile people in attendance like MJ, LT, Peppers, etc.

It would be awesome to win the game, but as long as don't get boat raced and play with preparedness, discipline, urgency, etc., then I'll consider game 1 a success, win or lose. We have something like 70 players on the roster that weren't on the team last season.

Show his Tay Tay!

phil knight has provided chapel hill athletes opportunity for billions
will be interesting to see how the second tier heels invests in their future programs

Bill looks upset he has to coach tonight

Bill doesn't know how to work his CB.

That couldn't have started any better. Let's go!

Jesus Christ that was all way too easy. I sure hope tcu is this ****ing bad

Bill looks upset he has to coach tonight

and this is different from.....

It's been a long time since I've seen a good defense. I hope that is about to change.

I'll take that. Let's do it again, offense.

Put UNC in a weaker conference like the SEC and they'd be ready to make the playoffs RIGHT NOW.

And here I was afraid the Sinner Bublik match would run long…

Just wait until 2031. The SEC doesn't know what's coming!

Unc is the one team I want in the sec. For selfish reasons so auburn can come to the triangle to play Duke, nc st, unc etc

Looks like the UNC crowd is unfamiliar with watching football…

Pack it up. It's over.
