There is no suspect in custody yet, contrary to earlier reports.

The outlook for the victim is seemingly not good.

Trump just posted that he died

Of all the people to shoot

This is the thing.... you don't want political violence? Don't back a fascist bully who is attacking its own citizens.

You have a sitting president who uses violent language on the daily, seizes local law enforcement in DC, sends military to democratic cities under false pretenses inciting fear... and then these people want to cry wolf about violence.

GTFO.

I wouldn't generalize trumps speech/language as violent. Extremely divisive and other things for sure

The author of the thread ‘The left have the championship belt for extremism’ now believes it’s time that we show some nuance

it's going to be ironic if Trump's depleted FBI isn't able to locate a suspect

Apparently they just shot Charlie Kirk. Just seems like a trend we see on here. People craft a hysterical narrative. People who are mentally unstable, unbalanced, and worse run with it. Step three is "punching a nazi" or killing baby Hitler is justified. Here we are

You’re a disgusting lowlife. Which crossnerd will probably warn me again for calling out disgusting lowlifes like you.

I don’t remember you condemning political violence after two democratic politicians were assassinated.

lol... wow. I literally choked when I read this.

At a Veterans Day rally in Florida (November 2023), Trump stated:
“We pledge to you that we will root out the communists, Marxists, fascists and the radical left thugs that live like vermin within the confines of our country that lie and steal and cheat on elections.”

At a rally in Dayton, Ohio (March 2024), Trump said:
“In some cases, they're not people, in my opinion, but I'm not allowed to say that because the radical Left says that's a terrible thing to say. These are animals, OK? And we have to stop it.”

At a rally in New York City's South Bronx (May 2024), Trump claimed:
“Almost everyone is a male, and they look like fighting age. I think they're building an army. They want to get us from within.”

In New York (October 2024), during a speech about immigration, he asserted:
“A murderer — I believe this: it’s in their genes. And we got a lot of bad genes in our country right now.”

At a rally in Erie, Pennsylvania (2024), Trump commented:
“One really violent day, in the next, uh, two weeks … One real ‘rough hours’ for the police… and you’d see crime go down immediately. You’d see fear grab hold.”

At the January 6 rally in D.C., he urged his supporters:
“If you don’t fight like hell, you’re not gonna have a country anymore.”

These are just recent ones... the list is long.

Also could you articulate what exactly about my post makes me a "disgusting lowlife"

Your posts on page 1 should disqualify you from conversation but I'll explain things that shouldn't need expiation to you anywaysThis is a forum for discussion. I responded to seeing a right wing commentator being shot on the job. I thought it would be a good time to discuss a trend of violence on the left that i and others have noticed I made a claim. It's up for discussion or

I hate people like you. You made a claim. Did you provide any evidence? No. So I make a claim that you are a stinky pile of feces that has learned to type. Can you falsify that you are a stinky pile of feces that has learned to type?

Get real you didn’t want discussion you wanted to take a **** on this forum and then act like a whiny bitch when you get called out.

So you don't see the murder of Charlie Kirk as symbolic of the rise of leftist extremism in America or the west?

You think these levels are stable and not rising

I certainly am not going to tap dance on Charlie Kirk's grave (or hospital bed), but I also am not viewing this shooting as some sort of special moment for reflection on the sanctity of human life.

It's terrible and gruesome when these things happen, but for all of my adult life, I have been told by the NRA (and the politicians who court the NRA's favor) that mass shootings, sniper killings, etc., are just the price we have to pay for freedom. And apparently a majority of the country agrees.

We have the country we deserve. These sorts of killings will continue unabated no matter which party controls government. Sometimes the perpetrators will have right-wing political views. Sometimes they will have left-wing political views. Sometimes they will have underdeveloped or largely incoherent political views. Sometimes they will be apolitical. Sometimes we will be in periods where these sorts of killings seem to perpetrated more often by people with right-wing political views. Sometimes we will be in periods where the perpetrators seem more often to have left-wing views. But the one great constant will be that the killings continue because that is the country we have chosen.

And top people are ritually saying, 'Violence has no place in American public life,' and, 'This is not who we are,' when violence obviously does have such a place and it pretty much is who they are.

It certainly has nothing to do with the sanctity of human life.

But depending on who killed him and why (if we can ascertain that), it could be a key moment to make it clear to normies that, as we (on the right) always knew was the case, the left is rabidly exceptionally more propense to political violence than the right ever was in the USA, and it was always the same since the USA existed.

But maybe it was just a schizo who targeted a prominent rightwing political figure for tangential reasons in which case normies wont be convinced.

The hope for people like me and hole in wan is for normies to understand the 2 sides WERE NEVER THE SAME. The left instrinsecally embraces political violence as a legitimate tool. It's a religion with no moral limits to achieve it's goals.

And it should have been abundantly obvious when Mangione stans appeared on social media (fighting capitalism is politics for them).

There was never a time when political violence was more abundant from the right, not even in the vaguest sense, ever, in american history.

Take the early 90s. You have the unabomber on the right side, and the freaking LA riots on the left side. The scale and amount of political violence was unmatched from the left. One day of leftist political violence often is more disruptive than years of rightwing political violence. BLM riots where 100x january 6. It's like this everytime.

There is one side which is deeply, inherently, evil and incompatible with civil society, and one side which sometimes errs a bit, never even close to what the left does routinely.

Here was trump’s response to Paul Pelosi’s brutal assault

You get the world that you manifest, and this is what Republicans manifested. I blame every single killing from the left on MAGA and the Republicans. And I don’t feel bad at all about saying that. You want to be indifferent to or even encourage political violence, this is what will happen.

Also when you have Trump basically saying he wants to run into Democratic cities and take them over with the Nat Guard, that they are poisoning our blood, that they are stealing our elections, pardoning 1k+ Jan 6 rioters including people that assaulted police officers, yeah this is the country you’re going to get dufus. Did you expect something different?

If anyone wants me to condemn this shooting then they should condemn all the other political violence. Otherwise it’s a ****ing joke when people like you get hard when anything happens to someone on the right so you can condemn the left. F off.

It's a consequence of backing fascist movements. It's horrible, and it shouldn't happen in a just society. But we're unfortunately past that point.

Kirk founded a propaganda movement that knowingly lied on the daily, and advocated for literal violence against the trans community and POC. Here are just a couple of his quotes -

In a video released September 2023, Kirk declared that transgender people are a "throbbing middle finger to God" and “an abomination,” even dead naming Lia Thomas as part of his diatribe.

"Somebody should have took care of it the way we used to take care of things in the 1950s and '60s"
In February 2023, during a discussion about trans women in sports, Kirk suggested that transgender women should be "handled" as they were in earlier mid-century eras—a line widely interpreted as a call for violent removal of trans people.

On civil rights -

Martin Luther King Jr. “was awful… a very flawed man… a mythological anti-racist creation”
In early 2024, after previously praising MLK, Kirk reversed direction, calling him "awful," insisting King is over-glorified, and referring to the Civil Rights Act as a "huge mistake."

“If I see a Black pilot… 'Boy, I hope he's qualified.'”
Kirk implied skepticism about the competence of Black professionals when he made this remark, praising not affirmative action but cautious expectation about qualifications.

I could go on... but at this point we should make up things about what a quality human Kirk was since he is no longer w/ us.

I know some people don't like AI information for whatever reason, but if you ask who is responsible for more violence in America, the conservative left, or liberal right, this is what you get:

Terrorism and Extremist Violence

The FBI and the Department of Homeland Security have repeatedly stated that the most persistent and lethal domestic terror threat in recent decades comes from right-wing extremists, especially white supremacists and anti-government militias.

Data from the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) found that from 1994 to 2021, far-right extremists were responsible for about two-thirds of terrorist plots and attacks in the U.S., while far-left extremists accounted for a much smaller share.

The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) tracks extremist murders: between 2013 and 2022, about 75% of extremist killings were committed by right-wing extremists, 4% by left-wing extremists, and the rest by Islamist extremists or others.

Political Violence Against Officials

In the last 50 years, very few U.S. politicians have been assassinated. The most recent clear ideological killings (e.g., Rev. Clementa Pinckney in Charleston, 2015; MN Rep. Melissa Hortman, 2025) were linked to white supremacist or right-leaning perpetrators.

High-profile left-aligned attackers (like the 2017 gunman who shot Rep. Steve Scalise) caused serious harm, but did not kill any elected officials.

Hate Crimes

According to the FBI’s annual hate crime statistics, the overwhelming majority of hate-motivated violence is linked to biases typically associated with the far right (anti-Black, anti-LGBTQ, anti-immigrant, antisemitic).

Far-left-aligned hate crime spikes are not visible in the data in any significant way.

Bottom Line

Right-wing extremist violence is significantly more lethal and more common in modern U.S. history than left-wing extremist violence.

Left-wing violence in recent decades has been more about protest clashes and isolated actors—not systemic campaigns of political murder.

Right-wing violence has produced most extremist murders, high-profile terror attacks, and attempts to assassinate officials.

It's not AI fault, rather the sources AI necessarily has to digest in training are so disgustingly, obscenely partisan in favor of leftist takes, that this obscenity you just generated comes out of AI.

And a citywide riot is like tens or hundreds of murders in terms of the damage to society. It is simply something that *should never happen in a sane society ever* and any attempt to downplay the complete monstrosity of it as "minor" is partisan disgusting hypocrysy.

You are not a legitimate member of civil society if you even think cities can EVER burn because of political unrest.

Yes this means i do not consider France a civil society

Why not respond to unhinged with unhinged? There’s really no point anymore. Within a day people will be calling Kirk a martyr. This was what he was like:

https://x.com/JasonSCampbell/status/1587...

Does that mean he deserved death? Hell no. But he is definitely the type of person that if it happened to someone else he would be pushing deranged conspiracy theories.

And remember that when people like hole in won talk about the “left” they are talking about democrats. Most of the left wing violence isn’t even from democrats! They’re from people that hate democrats. It’s ****ing gross and I don’t care if I come off as unhinged here.

lol... no homie. That's FBI and homeland security data. Do you want the links? You can look this up and verify it yourself... AI doesn't work the way you're saying. That's not how it reasons. LLM models have the ability to spot BS. You can test this yourself.

You don't live in America Lucy... you weren't here during the protests that were in response to POLICE VIOLENCE targeting POC.

Personally when i talk about the left i don't talk about all democrats. Most democrat politicians wouldn't qualify. A decent part of their voters wouldn't either.

But it's a component of democrat voters, especially in primaries.

Do you agree that anyone who is a Mangione stan is a evil piece of ****? what % of democrat primary voters do you think are Mangione stans?

Who remembers when trump posted that tweet of hillary getting cracked in the head with a golf ball in like the first days of being in office? I feel like I remember lots of normal people saying that was exactly the kinda dumb stuff that was going to lead to violence. And all of the trumpers said it was just jokes.

Sorry, Charlie 😀
