The murder of Charlie Kirk

While the Left tries to force inclusion and raise living standards, the main focus of the Right has been to either "own the libs" or make "the libs" hate them. I mean, what does Trump really do for them, materially, other than degrade them? But the Left hates Trump and that is enough for them because the Right are, for all their performative/claimed manliness, just purely driven by emotion. All this assumed celebration of Kirk's death is just them thinking they are achieving their goal of inducing hatred of them. They don't consider the fact that this is just some lone individual and not organizationally backed action.

The Right has deluded themselves into a model of the social world where all that matters is how triggered the opposition culture gets, because they don't have the courage to confront the elites who are making them miserable with inequality and deplorable labor conditions. The Right are extremely fearful people. Don't be fooled by their bravado. They go into Starbucks with rifles because they are absolutely terrified 24 hrs a day.

Not to mention, they always openly celebrate death of who they see as their cultural enemy. They they naturally assume we would too. No matter what the actual reaction is, they just know we love it and they could never be convinced otherwise. It's kinda like how people who are scheming and treacherous are also super suspicious.

Here is a fun fact. Warren Buffett father is a hardcore right wing "radical" elected U.S Rep. He adore his father and couldn't change party until after this death. He now a lifetime Democrats because he believe in civil right. His middle child end up becoming a life long Republican and one of his kid become a Democrat working for Obama Admin. Same with Charlie Munger he was a lifetime Republican but his kids are on both side. Fyi in before you hate Charlie Munger because he a Republican, he was a huge support of abortion and came to the conclusion that it was a right thing even though he had +7 kids. Him and Warren Buffett support indirectly help Roe vs Wade passed. Look up 1969 — People v. Belous (California).

So no I have no problem w my kids believing in the left side. I think their heart should fight for what they consider is good side. But growing up I would hope they understand the world is more complicated than Disney movies.

It's not really that big of a deal I wouldn't read too much into it. It's kind of a way to poke fun at the people who see them behind everything.

Some see left and right, red and blue, liberal or conservative, all I see is a bunch of brainwashed idiots falling for the divide and conquer agenda.

The issue isn't that mainstream liberals/leftists are cheering on fringe far left political violence. The issue is that they are gaslighting us that there isn't an epidemic of this, and it is actually far violent far leftists who are the victims; when our own eyes and ears see that reality is clearly the opposite of this.

And the downstream consequence is that people that are willing to point out reality are going to be supported at the ballot box. Which means Trump/MAGA as things stand.

The violence of the radical fringe left, and mainstream leftist agnosticism of it, is really the only thing keeping MAGA afloat right now, as most of their policies are doing (predictably) poorly. Which is why MAGA is focusing so much on this issue.

Even after Charlottesville, in spots where the Trump people were clamoring to wash any racist stink off them he was like no we did what we did, what? He has shown conservatives how to deal with blowback and they are all pretty much making themselves into his mold now.

His Kirk stream was calling for an authoritarian crack down on anyone saying things against an extreme Rightwing agenda. And he is their de facto leader, at least ideologically, now, so I would agree he is dangerous.

If I say "as a rule..." without a personal pronoun I would be making a more general claim, rather than one just about myself. (e.g. "As a rule, it is better to err on the side of caution.")

In that case they're correct. People who see Kirk as a 'cultural enemy' (an attitude obviously shared with the murderer) have in fact been openly celebrating, and not only in the US. The President of the Oxford Union (a student debating society, m'lud) has made an unpleasant spectacle of himself in just that very way.

This brings up an interesting observation. I would say most of the left here would give you a number ranging from 10 to 20 percent. But in reality if they talked to roughly half of the population about politics they would have a position that triggers being called a nazi or fascist. Its just textbook extremist mentality.
