I think they kinda realized how stupid it was if he just constantly lost every fight, so on ds9 they had him winning fights a lot more

the star trek forums used to be fun. lots of very passionate posts about which captain was the best and worst.
I used to **** on Janeway for getting lost. but she was a great a captain, and I was just shitting on her as a joke. I love Janeway! and sadly, I now realize that a lot of men hated her just cuz she was a woman

I left Star Trek after TNG. I have watched DS9 but it doesn't mean annything to me. I know who Seven of Nine is. It has Odo, who is played by Rene Abergenois, who was on Benson.
I saw several of the ridiculous Chris Pine Kirk movies, did they make three? Every one has a scene where he's rasslin folks on a cliff.
Also never watched Picard but I watched a long video where Angela Collier Astrophysicist tears it apart. I love her.

ds9 is a great show, but it can take some time. and not sure how well it holds up. i'd guess better than TNG. odo and quark are great. also there is a cardassian spy who is great. he's played by the killer in "dirty Harry" great actor.
voyager is great too, maybe even my favorite. but it also takes some time. it gets waaaaay better when seven of nine joins(which isn't til the end of season 3!) seven of nine played a big part in getting Obama elected btw... maybe... her husband was his opponent in the Senate race, and he got killed in the election(or maybe had to back out) cuz she outed him for making her go to swinger parties against her will
and the new/current show "star trek strange new worlds" is great. it's the adventures of christopher pike before Kirk took over the enterprise. they do a nice job of updating the show, but also staying true to the star trek vibe. and Christine chapel is smoking hot
Picard is garbage
the one with sonequa Martin green, started off great, but then sucked.
actually if you have any interest, there are great episodes I can recommend to get started on any of the series.
The last season of Game of Thrones was so bad I stopped watching series of any kind entirely.

It used to be, the way to build a company was to make a profit and use that profit to scale up to bigger and bigger profits. It's at least functioning Capitalism.
Now, folks make a company that loses a ton of money, like WeWork or Uber, and then scale that up until they are losing billions of dollars a year. This is not functional.
All Media have learned that Quality is horseshit. Just stick something out there that looks like a TV show, it literally doesn't matter. Smart people will over think that it's trying to be meta or enjoy how awful it is. Dumb people are dumb.
I don't even know what the shows are now, but it seems like most of them have a superhero and are we not tired of that.
I think ds9 is the best by far. People like duet, far beyond the stars, and the visitor episodes a lot which aren't that contingent on plot.
Big story arc towards the end.
I like when Troi's mom insinuates that Picard is seething with uncontrollable lust for her.
