I really don't know

I feel like net is a super thin connection with burn but is my second favorite connection with futures.

maybe if i had money i'd know about futures.

This is gonna be another 3 day discussion where we make no ground and get stuff wrong. I can feel it.

I'm staring at the list and i can't come up with a better two words than trying game and net

everything is extremely thin for at least one of the two clues (at least to the extent I understand futures, there could be a connection I simply don't know)

If it was just me on the guessing team then I'd be guessing game and net.

I'm happy to talk more though if you think it'll help.

I was thinking it could be foot because that actually makes some kind of sense for both....but it was our next word after rainbow and we didn't get an unlimited

Anchor - definitely doesn't slip, ships can be wooden?
Banana - no, slippery
Cloak - no
Elephant - feet are nonslip, live in forest.
Foot - no, not unlimited
Jupiter - no
Net - ehhh, not really
Sink - might sink into a nonslip surface? Wood can sink.
Trip - might trip over something nonslip, trip over a piece of wood.

So one of anchor/elephant/sink/trip imo, but all of them are huge stretches for both clues. I can't even rule anything out for being a burn/futures word because I don't get those clues either. Tough spot.

Shoe/anchor = ?
Shoe/elephant = leather
Shoe/sink = ?
Shoe/trip = hiking

So I guess I'm on anchor or sink at this stage.

You can have nonslip mats at the sink too, so I think that's where I'm leaning.

Is sinking the opposite of slipping? It's...not swimming but is it not slipping?

I wouldn't say it's the opposite of slipping, but it's definitely not the same thing. I like it more for the mat connection anyway.

Biggest problem I have with sink is that it could be a burn word (washing a burn at the sink). Not sure if it hits futures tho?
