For whom am I performing? I've never met any of you. I doubt I ever will. My comments were directed at the men because 95% of the posts have been from men. I often disagree with CN's broad brush characterizations. But based on the way that men in this forum talk (and apparently think) about sex, I understand why we she thinks a lot of you guys are creeps.
CN can obviously speak for herself, but I'm almost certain that she thinks that ALL of us are creeps. (Not saying she's wrong btw.)

For better or worse, I'm just describing how I act around women, how I talk about women, and how I think about women in real life. In general, I just try to treat women like people. I don't avoid disagreeing with women just because they are women. I don't pretend that every "women's issue" is my top priority in life. I don't act like women are princesses in need of protection. I don't censor myself around women to avoid giving offense. I just try to give women the same level of respect that I give men. Not more. Just the same. (I'm not saying you are necessarily different.) As far as I can tell, you are the only person in real life or on 2+2 who thinks my behavior is performative, unusually solicitous, or insufficiently masculine. That's fine. You can think whatever you want. But you shouldn't assume that I'm putting on some sort of act.

I said that it was laughable when the men of 2+2 discuss women. Rick was part of the discussion (albeit it far from the most ridiculous participant), so he sailed in with his herp-derp "performative male" routine to defend his honor.
