NCAA Football 2025
Not sure who will win this year, hopefully Arch goes nuts and UT can kick the door in after making the quarterfinals the
Watching it tonight I was told the buyout is 37 mill to fire him. Not sure UK has it in them. IU and Vandy have us surrounded geographically, and seem to be able to surge their program very nicely. Not UK. Not in football. There is some fallout from the curse years, kind of like with Red Sox.
For the longest time the UK sports radio show I listen to has said they didn't think the money was there. The last two weeks, they have switched and said if UK goes 3-9 or even 4-8 the money is there...
I know absolutely no one who wants Stoops around, barring a massive turnaround this season
Why are auburn/mizzou games always so damn weird

Matt Jones already reported a few days ago that UK does have the money and it pissed off Mitch Barnhart because he lost any leverage he would have had in negotiating a lesser buyout.
I wouldn't be surprised if Stoops is fired tomorrow.

Red Zone is his no manβs land
Always in a jam
That 3 and 6 call by Freeze is symptomatic of why he is going to be fired before Halloween.
I'd be surprised if Stoops was fired before the end of the season. I mean Barnhart waited until the end of the season to fire Joker Phillips and Billy Gillespie. But I also wouldn't be against it. Give our DC a chance to see if he is up for the HC job.
I'm in no way a UK fan(L1C4) but Mitch needs to fire Stoops. That was a complete embarrassment to the program.

Jared Lorenzen ainβt walking through that door.

What leverage? We intend to fire you will you also let us pay you less when we do?
The refs are so lol that it's almost hard to remember that the FSU who crushed Bama is currently failing @Stanford.
I suspect Florida State isn't vicious enough for this, but Mike Norvell getting tarmac-ed for being down by 10 after 42 minutes to Stanford with their starting qb, rb, and cb out would be...just.
As yet another 3 & out goes on, maybe they should just tarmac the whole team, cripes. Just "Nope, not gonna' pay for the gas".
I don't know kid, I can "dispute" quite a lot.
Maybe the sec just gets all the at larges
over/under 1.5 of these guys being unemployed by midnight
Freeze, Napier, Norvell, Fickell
Is the committee going to force Louisville to be ahead of Miami? If so they are going to have to either drop Miami a ton relative to Ap or lift Louisville a ton
Hmmm I assumed they came out this week I was way off
bye bye Napier you stupid cuck bitch

Now if that Jimmy Sexton character represents them all, he gets a cut for each firing, and then a second cut if/when they carousel to one of his other clients' openings!?
The ACC has taken the lead in ref awfulness.
I know I'm getting ahead of myself, but it would be so funny if:
Louisville wins out (16%)
Virginia wins out or loses 1(51%)
Georgia Tech wins out (8%)
Miami wins out or finishes 10-2 (84%)
UVA beats Georgia Tech for the ACCG
So you'd have
UVA is locked in as the ACC champ
GT would be 12-1 with a win over UGA and only loss in the forced CCG, so surely they must be in
10-2 Miami with wins over Notre Dame, Florida, USF and SMU or Pitt, surely they are in
11-1 Louisville who BEAT Miami, surely they are in
Pittsburgh and SMU are the ACC spoilers, both already have two losses and likely aren't good enough to win out, but are certainly good enough to KO some teams. Pitt plays GT, Miami and ND. SMU plays Miami and Louisville.

I would bet a lot that Miami > Louisville.
H2H is only a tiebreaker if they're close. Miami and Louisville resumes are not close.
Miami has beaten ND (ranked), USF (ranked), Florida, Florida State (ranked at the time) and only lost to Louisville by 3.
Louisville's two best wins are unranked Pitt and unranked James Madison.

He's no answer to get the program to an elite level. He is the guy who led UK to 8 straight bowl games, including 4 straight wins, unheard of in program history. So you give him 37 million and then what?
Admittedly him being around till 2031 would be mega ugly. Of all the teams in the conference, it looks like UK is going to nosedive most under the new alignment. UK just doesn't have it in them to hire a great football coach in modern times.
