I've been sleep deprived for the past 2 weeks.

This past day and night I got about 14 hours of sleep, and I still feel a bit tired.

I can accomplish 99% of my daily tasks while sleep deprived.

Unfortunately, poker falls into the 1% of things I can't do while tired.

My results haven't been good over this stretch either. I'm up a 2 digit amount on the trip.

I really need to shore up the sleep issue soon, and also start producing at the tables.

I'm a little dejected.

I've played while exhuasted twice this trip, and predictably got my ass handed to me both times.

I was half tired today and on the fence of playing. But I didn't want to take two days off in a row, so I drank a Monster energy drink, went, played my A-game, and lost.

Now I've gotta wait out this energy orgy within myself, JFC, another night of horrible sleep sits waiting for me like a wolf.

Which correlates with the 18+ hours of sleep I nailed on Saturday. The first day of the trip getting as much or more sleep than I normally get (10-12 hours/night).

Wesley So has said he gets more than 10 hours of sleep per night. Phil Galfond has said the same. I don't feel bad about it...

My dad rented out NES games to local videostores as a side hustle when I was young. As a result, I had access to well over 100 games.

I'm going to get my kids reading before they turn three. I saw software exists for babies to show them how to match letters and words together as if they are shapes. I also have seen stuff that teaches phonetics to young children. Of course I will read to them voraciously, all the classics (Seuss, et al) and do what I can to foster a great place to learn at home.

There will be videogames, but only under strict discipline and supervision before they are 10.

Yeah, you can play Mario and Zelda for a fixed increment, but you're also going to set goals, give oratory to the family, and write up reports and manuals for how to play the game.

I think I have pretty good comedic timing. My comments are usually very brief and to the point yet get a pretty good reaction usually.
