Legend.

Shades of Todd Gurley.

And Jamaal Charles.

Otherwise known as “Running backs who had an unexpectedly HUGE fantasy game timed specifically for the fantasy championships. That I keenly remember, because of how they affected me.”

I was on the other side of those two, nice to be on this side tonight.

Come on Cleveland. Just give us one win for old times sake.

Spread is only 3.5 -----> Browns can get do it.

I just ONCE want a player to thank the devil after a game. Huntley sounds incredibly dumb lol.

Dumb?!?!?!
No way! These guys are all former student-athletes at an excellent college or university. Most received scholarships and many were actually paid to bring their talents to South Beach. Or Poughkeepsie or somewhere.

Are backup QBs the new starting QBs?

17 games is a long season. Many did not make it thru this season, including Mahomes, Lamar, D. Jones, Murray, Penix, etc.

Purdy sitting out 5 games looks like a genius move. Lesson from Dodgers putting their starters on the injured list during the season because who cares about regular season games, and 162 game season is too long.

Will we see #1 QBs benched for regular season games even if healthy? If the backup is decent, and an "injury" can be reported even if its fictitious, then the gain for winning playoff games later with a healthy #1 QB may exceed reduced chance of winning regular season games with backup QB. Makes more sense if the team's O line is banged up for that week, or the backup QB is a dual threat against a team that can't stop the run.

When the season goes to 18 games this move becomes even more likely.

It'd be next to impossible to prove, but I'd bet a lot of money against teams benching their starting QB if they weren't seriously injured and unable to be on the field.

Not to mention how many teams would risk being fined or possibly worse for falsifying an injury report?

Thanks for losing Packers πŸ˜€

This stuff almost certainly already goes on. EVERYBODY is injured to some degree. Labeling a player "questionable" is basically a free ticket to doing whatever the team wants IRT a player suiting up or not.

Lamar probably could have played multiple games this year, and the Bear game in particular raised eyebrows. But Huntley proved a competent backup, and sitting Lamar against the Bears proved to be the correct move.

+1 Not a lot of interest in any of these games but Seattle losing would be good. Ditched cable (Redzone!) a couple weeks ago for Youtube TV. My options are Car/Sea or Jax/Indy and watching Carolina/Seattle is an easy choice.

Thought that darnold grounding would have gotten to line of scrimmage if no one touched it? And he was out of the pocket?

lol jags

LOL JAX CLOWNS WTF

Please let the Steelers blow this

Are the Stillers really gonna blow this?
