Deuces is a much better writer than me and tends to be more correct. I disagree on some of the things he writes and then a few months later it turns out he was right and I was wrong.

There will be some overlap with anyone directionally left, but I take Deuces more to be talking about things from the perspective of how he would run the United States and less from a perspective of why the United States should be dismantled. For instance, his analogy with Mexico, while I disagree it’s analogous, presupposes that the US has a right to defend itself because it has a right as a country for national security. That’s not an argument I would expect Victor to go for.
Of course I don’t deny a logical possibility that they are the same poster, because I don’t take there to be any kind of logical problem there. It’s just about what I think is more or less likely.

We will either install a friendly government in Venezuela. This could be beneficial for the US but might still result in poverty for the Venezuelan people.
Or we will basically hit and run the country and allow the chips to fall as they will which will surely result in an anti American government in Venezuela. And a loss of international respect for the USA
Or we will incorporate Venezuela as an American territory or the 51st state. Yes perhaps a very slim chance for this but it simply cannot be ruled out considering everything that has already happened… This would automatically uplift the lives for the people of Venezuela who would now have American benefits. And they would have all sorts of job opportunities. A very Christian outcome for two Christian majority populations with so much in common.

This is not correct. Russia is not an imperial power, and China is a rising power. The current hegemony is the US, by a wide margin. It is in decline, but it is still the current hegemonic power, and they set the world standard in setting rules, underwriting security, and enforcing norms.
Russia is the legacy of a colonial empire that did not disband, and has been for the last 2 decades aggressively pursing a policy of irredentism, that is seeking to invade, conquer and consolidate territory based on interpretations of past maps of the Russian Empire and the CCCP at their assumed geographical peak.
An empire (outside the more formal concept of a state with an emperor) does not refer to someone who dominates global politics, it refers to a geopolitical entity that seeks to conquer / hold subordinate regions - typically at a grand scale. This is not some secret. Concepts like "Novorossiya" is used openly in Russian politics, and translates to something fairly identical to the concept of "Lebensraum". Ghostwritten essays supporting the concept is even signed by Putin himself and he alludes to these terms and strategies in speeches.
Russia is certainly not a superpower. Nor is it likely to become one by following its current path. Times, technology and requirements have changed and imperialism is simply not a good basis for a state economy these days. It is either expensive and inefficient due to what you need to invest to oppress the population or it is unstable.

I haven't been super active on this forum lately (I am sure no one is complaining) so I dont know if this has been brought up or not. But many many people have commented they believed a lot of this was about forcing China to buy Venezuelan crude in USD, keeping the petrodollar strong. Venezuela was directly selling to China in Yuan, and that is a big no no.
Also, China recently put a lot of money into building domestic infrastructure to process the heavy Venezuelan crude, so if it is all being sent to the US for processing this really puts all those efforts to waste. Although Canadian heavy crude is similar to Venezuelan*, so maybe the end result of all of this is Canada turning to China as its main trading partner instead of the US.
*I just recently watched Landman, so I am now an export in petroleum industry in case anyone was wondering.
I think you're getting to the crux of the situation. If the Trump owns the cocaine routes he'll finally become a billionaire for real. He'll probably come up with an idea for golden cocaine, and try to hire Bryan Cranston to formulate it.
Also a lot of rumors on social media that something like 40 Cuban personal security personnel were killed in the process of capturing Maduro, with zero US fatalities. And as much respect as I have for our armed forces, hard to believe this happened without inside help.
Non zero chance this was all arranged ahead of time, with some speculation Maduro himself was in on it, and made arrangements to eventually go into exile in Dubai or Russia.
Time will tell I guess.
