[extracted] New(?) 9-11 stuff
KSM got a plea deal. The guy who supposedly masterminded the 9/11 attacks is not getting the death penalty.

There's something else apart from sci-fi millimetre waves that causes enough heat to make people want to jump - things burning.
Billy, have you come up with a fanciful and bizarre explanation for why NIST getting the collapse time wrong invalidates the collapse model yet? I have full confidence that your go-to tactic of re-defining basic words and phrases to mean something else entirely can be shoehorned in here somewhere.
Of course. What are you, some kind of conspiritard who thinks there was nobody in there?A key piece of the puzzle is the reaction of people in the towers when under attack. The effect is likened to a crowd control energy weapon. From the AI summary:Hence the reason for the "jumpers", the people jumping from the towers by sheer reflex action to avoid the unbearable energy waves.O
'POT...KETTLE' ALERT!!!
What say you about conspiritarts who believe the flat earth cover-up?
I get the feeling that Deuces doesn't really want to be associated with the space laser malarkey, he's way above that sort of tomfoolery. He's in the serious business of uncovering global conspiracies between governments and intelligence agencies and Epstein and whatnot. Deuces is a super cereal operator.
This is the explanation. Deuces doesn't have any interest in billy as a fellow traveler.
I wonder why we don't see Luckbox in this thread hardly ever? You'd think this would be one of his favorite threads.
In fairness to Luckbox, he probably would say that he has said everything he has to say on 9/11. And I doubt he is a flat earther.
I think Luckbox recognizes that his ideas don't hold up to scrutiny and just thinks they are fun to believe in anyway. That's my theory at least.
There are many recorded phone calls made from people trapped above the areas where the planes entered the buildings, and many living people who received phone calls from those people. The content of those calls is consistent with a plane impact and a resulting fire. They are not consistent with whatever you are describing. Do you believe that those phone calls were fake?
They are not mutually exclusive events. The planes are incidental to the DEW.

"NIST got the collapse time wrong".
Given your general intransigence, this statement alone speaks volumes as to how the argument stands.
It is not me saying NIST got the time wrong. It is y'all. Let that sink in.

So wait, they flew planes into the buildings and then space lasered them for good measure? Why did we need the pew pew pew if we already had the vroom vroom whoosh?

Ok, they got the time right but the model wrong, then? They got something wrong in your mind, clearly, these experts.
Let's just take stock of the various times we have:
Bazant (expert) - 10 seconds
Eagar (expert) - 9 seconds
NIST (expert) - 12 seconds
Video (your preferred method - using our own eyes) - 15+ seconds
They can't all be right, can they? So at least 2 of the experts got the time wrong (proof: exercise). But not at most 2. DUCY?

You really think this is sci-fi?
This is a mere cursory glance:

You really think a person would choose to jump to certain death in that scenario? Or maybe try and make a run for it? As I said, the jumpers are one part of the puzzle. In answer to the question, yes there were people in the buildings and their behaviour is consistent with DEW.

Do we have mind control weapons as well, Billy? I want to hear about those.

Having a nice reset AND a bit of cherry picking! You do love your cherry picking. You are also quite wrong.
Bazooka (hi gorgo) said 9 seconds. "The tower collapsed in 9 seconds", remember?
Eagar said "within 10 seconds".
NIST said "within 12 seconds".
The above times are entirely consistent. Ducy?
Of course, the wtc1 vs wtc2 times do cause some confusion. It has been prudent to ignore this because they are often mixed up, but happy to go for definitive times for each. Let us see... ah, the NIST faq sheet
*checks notes*
9 seconds and 11 seconds.
For a direct, generally uncontroversial (current controversy notwithstanding) matter of measuring the collapse time, it is better to refer to the collapse times on record. Do you have another record to support your times?

Nist used different endpoints to measure the collapse time and then stated it was an unreliable measurement. That's pretty easy to understand. Why don't you understand it billy?
If the collapses took 10 and 12 seconds, why is there video of the collapses taking 15 and 22 seconds?
How do you reconcile that?

Yes, video footage of the event. Or, "using my own eyes" as you like to call it. The same method you used to ascertain that the buildings disintegrated into dust and assess the mass of remaining debris in fact, so you should be very familiar with the methodology.
Can you explain to me why I should accept the reported collapse time when it contradicts with what I see in the video of the event?
It is simply amazing how d2 has switched in his own head that it has been me all along saying the experts are wrong on collapse times.
It is he who is claiming nist have the wrong time. Because gorgo tubz.

We get it. You watched a video and observed the time for yourself.
While NIST pulled a number out of their ass.
Congrats on your initiation into conspiracy-land.

I don't think that claiming that there is a 25-30% error in one completely unimportant data point given as a narrative aside in a 300+ page report makes me a conspiracy theorist.

Are you under the impression that this is the only example of people jumping to their deaths from burning buildings in order to avoid being burned alive?
It isn't. Not even close. I find it entirely plausible that someone would choose to jump rather than be burned to death.
