H4 and A3 first came to mind

F4/F6 as well

H4 is good

h4 is great as a confirmer I think but as a clue could just go in a variety of directions(including probably the wrong one)

m4 maybe confirmer

I think F5 can be the clue we're looking for.

H9 is good assuming it's not a shadowfax. But they should be able to figure out what it is anyway.

Agree that h4/a3 only work as confirmers.

They should be able to figure out what it is even if they don't know it though, right?

Assuming we're talking about the same word, you make a reasonable point. But I still like F5.

F is not on the side tho, and I can't think of any good A clues to get there either.

Like a3 works well as a confirmer, but it's a terrible clue in isolation.

I like H6, but fine with h9. I had to look it up too, but might be intuitive enough.

M9 is a good 2nd clue if we need it imo.
