NCAA Hoops 2025-26 Season Thread: MARCH SADNESS FOR DUKE
Looks like UK is getting out of the gate with a win against vaunted Nicholls State. This on the heels of a pre-season lo
Yeah, I really think I would. I find his arrival on the scene dramatic in the extreme. It's obviously the next level of all these new stud coaches that has been crescendoing over the last couple decades.
You know, I'm quite surprised that in betting cash thru the window, I am more liberal than all the years of betting other ways. Meaning I'm far more conservative trying to protect a figure that I'm betting against, than the cash. Seems a bit weird, or unexpected anyway. The cash thru the window is gone, forgotten, and its like found money double-up when it hits.
99 schools have sent teams to the Final Four. What school has the most all-time program wins without ever reaching a Final Four?
surprised with byu’s lack of March madness success and over a relatively large sample too.
It's BYU. I was looking it up because I thought it might be Tennessee, but they are second behind BYU I think.

Anybody else have any experience with this? I've never lived in casino town or close to where sports betting was locally legal, so I just never bet cash over the counter. Until now. On all my trips to Vegas, I never made a sports bet ... it was almost always in May/June series time, and no football or college hoops going on.
So I went tonight wondering about the limits, bottom and top, and the clerk says "$2 to a million." I laughed, shocked at both numbers. I asked the manager who was over to the side twiddling his thumbs, slow night. He said, "Well a quarter mill shouldn't be a problem, but on a case by case basis we have to check it against our current hold of cash, figuring in other tickets as well." Something like that. It's a Caesars owned book.
"Well, what's the biggest bet you've actually taken, " I say.
"100K, " was his answer.
I'm remembering the days of bettors bitching because sports books were only taking a dime or two without serious balking. Hard to believe this is true. When I heard those tales I would think, "Jeez, I can get more at the local barber shop. That's what Vegas is doing???" So anyway, I'm shocked.
That Duke team could have/should have had Cooper Flagg on it. Why not stay a while when you are BMOC, and now making millions??

if i was raking in millions playing college ball, id stick around to win a championship with the Boozer twins, meanwhile taking out an insurance policy.
The NBA can wait.
Winner of Zona/Michigan is gonna spank either of these teams
UConn is 140th in turnovers per game this season, and made a run at zero today.
How many shots has Illinois had roll off the rim today? Meanwhile UConn banking in 3s. Tough luck. Still close.
Somebody on here way back declared Michigan head and shoulders above even the great teams this year. It's been borne out pretty well so far, but it keeps getting tougher. Good pick. I played the Michigan fight song on piano but it won't seem to upload here. Anyway, game time ... let it happen, cap'n.
That should do it. That's game. Arizona played hard but ran into an all time juggernaut. On to the most obvious championship game blowout in NCAA history.
Pretty darn confident.
Wolverines tournament wins in order are by 21, 23, 23, 33 and up 16 at half against a 1-seed here. Yeah that's an all-time juggernaut. Gotta be the sickest run in a while. Margin increasing the deeper they go, that seems weird.
It doesn't look like Michigan has much fear in them. It's breakneck play making regardless of score. I didn't think they could win a title without Schembechler kicking their asses.
If this ends as a demolition, what the hell is the line against UConn. Big man questionable, though.
Sucks how much is was looking forward to this game
Yax at 20% right now. Uconn now has a chance. Ugh. This is the most devastating injury since Isiah in 88.
Whoops, one of those margins was 13, not 23. Anyway they look a bit like the Baylor team from a few years ago, but way upscaled. Same type action. Averaging 95 a game in the tournament.
Mich - 7.5
