New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Right! I don't even have a dash account. Is there a referral bonus? You can refer me if you want Mark.
I don't dash. Maybe a rare ubereats.
Me either, but I might start now.
That's a great concept
Maggiano's used to do that way back when.
my local TB app no longer has the "Build Your Own Box" deal which was previously available for $5.99. This deal was always better than what the Luxe Boxes offered.
also now upgrading to a Large drink in any Luxe Box has increased by $.10 for no apparent reason.
also now swapping out s**tty Cinnamon Twists for Chips N Cheese in Luxe Box orders costs $1.50 more here. LOL at paying that.
In summary....I still want to love and believe in you TB but you don't want to love or care about me back π‘
also TB's new $9 Luxe Box is probably their worst Luxe Box ripoff offer in history. The Creamy Chipotle Chicken Slider garbage main item is like a $1 value item on any other restaurant menu.
Youβre doing it all wrong Mitch. You go to Taco Bell to get what you want, your dad pays whatever they say for the quesadilla. You donβt need Yum! Brands love, you are whole all by yourself.

Speaking of Taco Bell, let's give them credit for finally solving an age old problem. Nachos Supreme were a sloppy messy tasty treat but the chips always got super soggy. With the introduction of Chips and Nacho Supreme Dip ($2.49) you get all the goodness without the sog. I grabbed an order and the cup of dip was the right size for the bag of chips. Would eat again.
their hope is the slushes numb your tongue to the point of not noticing their lack of seasoning payments
I was near a historically good BK during lunch time, so I decided to try out the new and improved Whopper. any size fries with $3+ purchase was nice also.
1. Whopper bun is a complete game changer. It used to suck, now it's awesome.
2. Overall the Whopper was good, but if you didn't tell me they made the mayo better/creamier then I wouldn't have known.
3. The fries were heavenly, and naturally I dipped them in McMuffin's signature Zesty sauce.
4. I actually got a Double Whopper
5. Profit
OTB and into your mouth!

I hadn't heard the Whopper was "new and improved". I usually get it without mayo, so better mayo doesn't help me. What's better about the bun? To me, the primary purpose of it is to keep my fingers clean.

since im nice i Grok'd for you:
Burger King upgraded the Whopper bun in early 2026 (first major Whopper changes in nearly 10 years) based on customer feedback. They describe it as a "more premium, better tasting bun."
Key Improvements to the Bun
Texture and quality — Softer, fluffier, thicker, with more volume/lift and a sturdier structure. It's less prone to getting soggy, crumbling, or falling apart compared to the old softer roll.
Appearance and finish — Features a new glaze (egg-wash-like) that helps sesame seeds stick better and gives a richer, golden, darker sheen.
Taste — Fresher and better overall flavor; some reviewers note it feels more balanced and elevated (a few even compare the sweetness to a Hawaiian roll vibe).
plus its served in a box so the bun doesn't get smashed.
:: Mark_K rolls up to BK drive thru ::
"I'll have 47 Whoppers please."
The Whopper slaps hard with nostalgia and now with its improvements its like combining
Old School with New School!
