USA Goes to War Against Iran

How long will it last and what will be the probable outcome?
I do that in that moderation thread which is where off topic **** gets posted dumbass, not in threads designed for actual content
That thread is designed for the actual content of asking questions about moderation in the forum. Like every other thread in P&S, off-topic chit gets thrown in there that may or may not cross the line of being tolerated - like this derail.
I didn't think we can hear a high C6 coming from your ass every time you sit down.
If the US shows that we are capable and willing to use the full force of the military it would create quite the deterrent against bad behavior by nations like Iran. my method would result in significantly less deaths and suffering in the long term.
Americans have no tolerance for dead Americans and the full weight of the military is either 1) ground troops or 2) nuclear weapons.
Both of those aren't politically feasible.

Polls show the Iranian government has around 30% support. In the US, since more voting age Americans don't vote than those who do, the most any party is getting is around 35%. The only difference is that we have more of an illusion of choice and if we aren't happy we can pretend to change our government every 4 years.
Iran of course does also have elections but the candidates are hand picked by the mullahs.
Our candidates get hand picked by Wall St.
China is (apparently) going to continue sending ships through so that will be a big test of this blockade.

Here come the 150% tariffs on China. Chit, he might even start off with 1000% before he tacos. Depends on how bad he's crashing out.

The mods themselves have acknowledged that the moderation thread is also for light banter, not just moderation content. Even crossnerd herself shared some nice photos of herself and her dogs.

No it won’t.
China is always going to get their oil. That is understood by everyone. It is too important to the world economy.
The “embargo” will be on the Russian/ Iranian shadow fleet tankers, mostly going to Europe.
When we were blockading Venezuela, ships going to china were being allowed through. And when we took out Maduro the first thing We did was send heavy crude to china. And if/when there is regime change in Iran the first thing th new govt will do is asure oil shipments to china, with US blessing.
That being said, China does a lot of trade in the Middle East, with pretty much all the countries Iran is attacking.
And the more they insist on publicly backing Iran, the more they are going to undercut their position in the region, an shownhey are not a very good powerbroker.
