New fast food discussion/review thread
OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Today is Whopper Wednesday.
$3.99 Whoppers, no app needed.
Got myself 3 of them, one being for tomorrow.
Nothing out for dinner. Nice day, warm and breezy. Started walking out of the neighborhood, figuring something would srike my fancy.
Ended up at Cane's--hadn't been there for quite some time.
Exactly what you'd expect. This is not a bad thing. Moist chicken with nice breading, decent fries and texas toast.
isn't canes all about sauce delivery mechanisms?
With the new Rick pricing a McDouble can be customized into a triple cheeseburger for 3.88 instead of 4.39 menu price. A double cheeseburger is also cheaper customized from McDouble but not so egregious.
The most bland chicken in the game.I'd rather take a maccas or BK.
Cane’s recently opened near me. I’ve never tried it. I haven’t been yet. Waiting for the craze to die down. People were waiting in line for 1-2 hours when it first opened.
Some people will tell you it’s the best ****. Some people will say it’s average to bad.
Looks like Zaxby’s to me.
Zaxby's doesn't charge for sauce.
lol that is an important fact to know.
Also looks like Zaxby’s has more options overall.
i wasnt really a fan of the cane's sauce. i mean, its OKAY. give me a pure ranch or a pure thousand island sauce any day of the week...
smh
That $7 big bag deal at Hardee's continues to deliver for me. I get double cheeseburger and ham & cheese, curly fries, huge ddp no-ice. Impeccable service at mine too. Arby's or BK can't touch this value, much less the evil Scottish clown.
I'm not a fan of mayo or ranch (I guess creamy in general) sauces, so Cane's sauce doesn't do anything for me.
I've only tried Zaxby's once, wouldn't say it compares to Cane's. But maybe I just had bad luck.
Cane's is pretty good at the only thing they do. I wonder if they've ever considered having a version of the breading with a little cayenne or black pepper for a little spice. It's pretty bland, but nice and moist meat with a crunchy breading.
Last time at Canes I sub'd honey mustard for the regular sauce and would consider doing it again. Mostly because I can't recall if it was great or horrible. Likely neither...

this could be a legit game changer.
SPICE IT UP
Welcome to Daves Hot Chicken...
You can spice it up to a level it fries your eyeballs.
I had the taco bell nuggets and they were great. Their size was good as well. Not like Wendy’s nuggets aka popcorn chicken.
The Diablo Ranch dipping sauce was on point as well.
Had a good $1.50 Sausage McMuffin yesterday. Value springs eternal.
I will always need egg in my sausage cheese mcmuffin

McDouble don't come w/cheese?
Sad news from Burger Thing. Cheeseburgers used to get free onions added, but now is a 25 to 75 cent upcharge.
99 cent corndogs at Sonic today.
