[extracted] New(?) 9-11 stuff

KSM got a plea deal. The guy who supposedly masterminded the 9/11 attacks is not getting the death penalty.

If you still

I guess Billy probably went back to preaching his flat Earth doctrine in Facebook groups where his audience actually believes he understands physics and science and ****.

D2 you are an attention seeking troll who reads nothing. There I said it.

Welcome back!

You may have already answered this question, so I apologize in advance if you already have:

Do pretty much all airline pilots who fly from North America to Europe know that the Earth is not a globe?

Thanks.

I'm roughly 99.99999999% certain that D2 is far better read than you are.

Still ignoring those questions then? You think nobody has noticed you suddenly changed the subject to what I personally have and haven't read, with not even a semblance of a segue? Coward. And as always, dumb dumb.

This calls for some light music

Maybe Billy fell of the edge.

Don't forget the Great Ice Wall. It keeps the sea in (otherwise the sea would all pour away, obviously) and it keeps Billy from falling off when he's had a few (otherwise he'd have to take a chance on grabbing the shell of one of the turtles on the way down and somehow work his way back up, which could take all night).

I feel so dumb not remembering the Great Ice Wall. For some inexplicable reason, I have trouble remembering certain details of Flat Earth Science.

Well his vocab includes "dumb dumb" so yeah maybe.

Define "pretty much".

Guess who's back, back again, dumbo's back, tell a friend.

I doubt these people notice much of anything.

So d2, what is the last book you read? Give us a review. Let us know who or what inspires you.

Also add "dumbo" to the d2 lexicon.

If you give (satisfactory) answers to the questions you've been dodging, I'll think about it. Otherwise, get ****ed, you annoying little prick.

The only way to deal with this fing idiot. Ignore him until he answers.

by 1&onlybillyshears m

Dumb-dumb was the name of our first cat when I was growing up. That cat was really smart.

So you had a cat smarter than Billy? Hard to imagine.

by 1&onlybillyshears m

Define "pretty much".

Over 70%.

by d2_e4 m

Add

"Annoying"

"Little"

And

"Prick"

To the d2 dictionary.

by geezerchess m

Over 70%.

So not "pretty much all" then. An absurdly silly question made sillier by saying a vast majority is something between a fairly marginal majority and an absolute consensus.

Perhaps you should ask how *level* flight is possible at all over a ball instead of these senseless riddles you speak in.

And also ask why pilot training manuals assume a flat non rotating earth.

The answer is that planes would otherwise crash.

No.

Why am I not surprised that you didn't answer my question?

You asked me to quantify my question, and I did so.

I'll try one more time: In your opinion, do over 70% of trans-Atlantic airline pilots believe that the Earth is not spherical(ish)?

Thanking you in advance.

You forgot "get ****ed".

Anyway, what point are you trying to make? That someone who is well read wouldn't call another person dumb or an annoying little prick? If so, you are sorely mistaken, you arrant nincompoop.

by 1&onlybillyshears m

The answer is that planes would otherwise crash.

What is in these manuals that would be different if they assumed that the Earth is round and rotating?

The answer is nothing. It's an obvious simplification to make because the difference is obviously negligible. It's the same importance as simplifying basketballs to spheres when writing the NBA rulebook.
