Agree completely with all of this and I would add it’s a common theme for those with imperial ambitions to cast themselves as attempting to rectify the wrong of another empire, or attempting to save the state/territory that they are invading, pressuring, or influencing. Sometimes they even have a point. Intelligence and propaganda often contains half truths, reframing, or lies of omission.

Yeah I don't like that essay, he missed the ENTIRE POINT of wresting. A couple sentences down, he specifically says pro wrestling (which he ironically calls amateur wrestling) is of no interest.

The US and Iran have agreed (almost) to continue having a ceasefire (except when they are shooting each other) for the next 30 (or 60) days while they negotiate the rest of the agreement.
It is unclear whether the Strait will be open or closed, and who will control it, and not much talk about nuclear stuff and enriched uranium.

I’m not sure what you’re expecting to result from negotiations between 2 unserious parties. Iran knows that demanding a ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon will kill any deal. Are you actually ignorant enough to think that Iran cares about the Lebanese people?
