WNBA 2026 Season Thread

Is it really Fever drama tho if it's something that nobody outside of about 20 people in the media give a **** about?

Not saying who's right or wrong, just that nobody is going to care.

Once the Fevers have been eliminated from playoff contention I want to see a GoFundMe. Let's raise enough money to have DarkCheck coach the team for a game. He can implement the Caitlin Clark offense of dreams. The entire rest of the roster can just set screens and rebound. It'll be epic.

some nhl and wnba teams have 0 full time beat reporters and even if you're not directly seeing your work, those breaking news updates you see are usually just people with larger platforms/followings sharing what they got from the beat reporter

Don't know if I care who wins tonight's early game but I guess I'm on Seattle in the late game, mostly because I'll be rooting against the Mercury.

No ****. And that makes my point, it doesn't undercut it. If people cared that beat journalism is dying, it wouldn't. They don't. Judging from subscriber numbers, most don't care about journalism period.

30 years ago my buddy was really into his school's D1 women's basketball team. he got me and my other buddy into. we had great times going to those games.

anyway my buddy won honorary coach at fund raising auction. he didn't get to actually coach, but he sat on the bench with the team. he got a technical foul for yelling at the ref. it was ****ing awesome. the girls on the team were laughing their asses off. the actual coach was ****ing pissed though.

also watching how hard those girls/women(college aged) worked, and how much they had each other's backs... and also all the criticism they took for being so big and muscular, and also for sucking at basketball compared to men... it was just ****ed.

and seeing little girls discouraged from being athletes for basically all of human history... and now to see these women fill stadiums of crazed fans, and bombing 3s from the logo. it's just great to see, and something that is just completely absent from the NBA.

I guaruntee you if i did i'd do better than this coach. All i'd have to do is get Lisa Buder's number and ask her for what's a decent strategy for this Fever team? It 100 percent would be better than what White's been doing and it would be Caitlin beng the feautured player since she's your superstar.

I bet all other coaches in the league and out of the league are laughing at the Fever because they know white is the problem and can't believe how she can't figure out how to benefit from having such a great player in Caitlin on her team. If they got to coach Caitlin Clarke and the Fever almost any capable coach would be wnba finals bound. And this Fever team may get there this year despite White's hurting the team.

You joke but lusten to what you said? Rest of team just set screens for Caitlin and rebound. Sounds alot better than what's happening now. But i bet the pick and roll with Caitlin and Boston will make a comeback soon. But why did they stop doing it? Because she's a good coach right?

I mean you really think what White's been doing is good for the team or good for Caitlin? White's been gifted the possible goat and she's turned the goat into Raven Johnson's backup.

pro sports really should have fans involved more. like in a blowout game, put a fan on the court or in the field.

You know who else other than Caitlin Clark doesn't get a superstar whistle? Breanna Stewart. She's been mugged all season without consequence.

it's objectively true that she's better than rodman. at least she's on a trajectory to be better. she's far and away the number one rebounder ever.

rodman was like 9th or 15th or whatever it was. and rebounding was his thing.

caitlin's ceiling is the goat, like you said. but she hasn't been a dominant player in the w yet. maybe coaching is holding her back like you said. so far she's been one of the best players, but not the best, maybe not even top 5.

angel is probably a top 20 player *maybe* top 10-15
