posting an image after the ball has already bounced off the recivers hands is quite the position

Debating a call from more than a decade ago is quite a position as well.

Do people still complain about Bush Push, Colorado 5th down, etc?

If one is trying to assert that college reffs try to get teams behind back into a game, then sure but that's been obvious for some time now.

That the photo shows relevant information on whether or not it was pass interference.

Especially if they keep having 43 starters aged 22 and over. That's older than Carson Beck!

Sharp as fk, actually.

I get a little annoyed at all these comments that seem to attribute a lot of their success to the hording of upperclassmen.

There were thousands of these guys in the portal, and most of them were total trash. And the guys Cig got from Kent State and Ohio and Navy or whatever, any blue blood could've had them if they wanted.

It's not like Cig figured out one easy hack to make an awesome team before everybody else - he figured out that 4th and 5th year 3* mid major players were undervalued relative to 5* sophs who sat on the bench at Alabama, which basketball coaches have been figuring out over the last couple of years as well, but he either (a) somehow managed to find 10-15 absolute diamonds in the rough out of the thousands of options, or (b) was somehow able to create a program where you can take 10-15 3* 5th years who have never met each other and get them to very quickly play the smartest, most disciplined, most organized team football as a cohesive unit that has ever been played.

Either one of those is absurdly impressive and hasn't been remotely replicated by anyone else.

Two things can be true.

Cignetti is a great coach, great evaluator of talent, and also successfully gamed this system.

I don't blame him one bit. He hit a grand slam and should reap all the rewards. Put him in the HOF for winning a title at IU.

FTR, GB, I don't think a single coach in the NCAA cares that a 5th [or 6th] year senior was a 3* vs a 4* or etc. There's obviously plenty of tape on him by now against college opposition, not HS sophomores.

[altho they might mention it when they bring him in if he was a 4/5*, that's just marketing]

one of the recruiting sites (i think on3?) is re-ranking all current players and comparing to when they first were recruited.

Most likely Cignetti has backed into some kind of simple algorithm that works (1) for reasons that aren't fully understood yet and (2) because it's low-hanging fruit that no one else has caught onto. Probably some combination of sorting the portal by PFF grade and/or other grading services / metrics. It's not like you're gonna watch film on thousands of dudes to pick out a few uncut gems.

The DB grabbed the facemask after the ball was batted. He gets a better grip briefly than in the still shot. But it's still a foul and Miami can't really cry foul.

One of my gambling buddies is a Texas Tech homer/alumni and has the same problem except the fact he doesn't have 7 million to lose.

Texas Tech transfer quarterback Brendan Sorsby, one of college football's top returning players, is checking into a residential treatment program for a gambling addiction, the school announced Monday.

Sorsby's decision to seek treatment, according to sources, came in the wake of the discovery of Sorsby making thousands of online bets on a variety of sports via a gambling app, which jeopardizes his eligibility with Texas Tech.

Also blacklab, would you please start us off with a proper introduction to the 2026 season.

Thanks!

will do

On SVP the legal guy was saying he’s almost certainly going to automatically be ruled ineligible whenever the process starts. He can appeal but…I imagine Cody Cambell has already started clawing back his money.

Addicted, of course.

Ryan Day's HS QB son commits to Northwestern.

He must think the girls there will be more desperate.

Or boys!

Day grew up a star New Hampshire high school QB and set records at UNH for then OC Chip Kelly when certain speed and space concepts were first starting to leverage public awareness

later no coincidence after coaching together on the same Eagle and ?9er staffs, finally bucked previous pretender trends and together found the Ohio State class syllabus processing professional cfb rodeo title belt buckles

smooth as a sunday morning PB&J topped with honey drizzle Kelly is now OC at Northwestern

Ryan trying duplicate replication techniques for his own son RJ to hang out and talk strategy with Winning at Poohtball within all the noise for as long as he can

while simultaneously preparing his own team to eventually line up against them sending complex nil contract blitz packages with intent to destroy their very own scion

Sorsby decision by a local good ole boy judge obviously ludicrous but after all the kids they’ve destroyed over hamburgers, tattoos, and golf cart rides across campus, f the ncaa.

Coaches and athletic departments are already rebelling.

So the outrage of the week is that someone can play football after placing bets?

**** draftkings

If the kid was a 4th string TE obviously its a 48 hour story with Tech AD/HC solemnly saying β€œwe wish this young man well in his future endeavors. We hope this serves as a learning opportunity for all our student-athletes about the seriousness of our commitment to upholding the rules and protecting the integrity of our sports competitions.”

The other schools, while hypocrites beyond measures, rightly recognize this is the Rubicon/Gates of Bethlehem moment, so get your powder wet and your mattresses wetter.
