2026 World Series of Poker May 26th - July 15th
May be an unpopular opinion, but I donβt mind the way they showed it tonight. There were like 3-4 interesting events going on at once. Itβs not like they can do a full stream of all of them at once for us to just flip between- they donβt have the staffing or budget for it. And thereβs going to be some nights where there will never be a consensus on which one everyone wants to
I agree with this. Iβve enjoyed them skipping around to interesting hands. I also remember the early WSOP PokerGo coverage being far worse - a lot of Donnie Peters and Remko Rinkema begging me to smash the like button as the coverage started with everyone being shallow on the FT and basically playing push/fold. The quality test for me will be the coverage of the latter part of the series. Are they broadcasting the PPC?
WSOP partnership with Solana? Lol.
This forum doesn't want to mint their "wsop moment" into an nft? π
Iβve been critical of it, but still was entertained. Would be great if there were two streams, one with a dedicated unmoving table and the other with what they did last night.
You miss a lot of good poker and ebbs and flows when always bouncing around looking for the next Degree All In Moment. And they have to get rid of that Countdown show. I like Norman Chad more than most but I donβt care who heβs picking to win the 25K Six Max.
They said they were televising the PPC but PokerGoβs coverage of it the past few years has been unrivaled. I think they televised ten hours apiece on Days 3 and 4 before the Final Table on Day 5. From what weβve seen so far Iβm not expecting it to be nearly as good.
As one who's been critical of this year's coverage, they did a relatively great job on Tuesday night with so many deep/final table events, Jeff Platt holding a lot of things together. Can't stand Stapleton but he's found his legs, but I'm more impressed by Randy Lew's increasing confidence as a commentator. That said bring on Ali and Nick soon please.
wtf was that meltdown from Sam Soverel just now on the stream? Refusing to scan his cards for some reason and acting like it's the first time he has played on a streaming table? Kabrhel was actually 100% right for once

With the massive delay I don't buy the hand security argument at all. I think it was more gamesmanship vs Martin, who despite being right has been a douche tonight. And I normally don't mind him but he's venturing into Kassouf territory now.
I have seen them tell players plenty of times before to scan their cards before a hand or mid-hand, so I'm not sure why they are letting Soverel get away with it or why he suddenly decided to stop scanning. It could have been to intentionally tilt Kabrhel, but now it seems nobody at the table is scanning until the end even if Martin isn't in the hand?
Don't really see how they can make players scan cards. If they want them scanned make the dealer or floor do it. Ain't the players job. What are the going to ask them to shuffle next.

You agree when you enter obviously...
No people watch, no sponsors, no money, no prizepools. It's not that hard
If this idiot actually thought it was a game integrity issue, you wouldn't play.
Who is this rando who asked Sam Sov "what he did for a living" lol
Yours truly got to sub in and switch the Countdown show for a few days and found myself in the presence of greatness. 😀

Who was it that went out 19th, on the bubble, in the $100 NLH High Roller event when his aces were busted twice? Thanks
Thanks!
Cary Katz is human scum. Glad we don’t have to give more money to that parasite. The broadcast will hopefully improve over time.
Hope the wsop isn't taking shortcuts with stream/game security.
If players don't want to scan until the hand is over, or when they fold, it's fine imo. 3 hour delay can figure it out.
Refusing to scan altogether is bush league and breaks the player agreement though.
We've seen multiple streams compromised one way or another. Sensitive info, big money.
Remember the ddos attack during the main event ft? Hackers held it for crypto ransom. Perhaps that's why it's free now. π
Obviously that didn't impact the game's integrity. But what I'm getting at is- how bulletproof is this real time info? Perhaps someone can share.

What? Sponsors provide nothing to the prizepool. WSOP might be the only major broadcast/event in which the participants contribute 100% of the prizepool AND fees. Imagine the uproar if PGA players had to pay $50k-$100k each to compete for their $10M-$20M prizepools
He made a living off offering predatory loans to students and his justification was if it wasnβt him someone else would have.
In an alternate timeline the generation who grew up in the poker boom doesnt get financially ****ed by Katz.
If he was making too much, why didnβt you offer them lower cost loans and make nice, but more reasonable profits?

Golfers are not cowards and fools like the degenerate chicken sheits that play poker.
Event #38: $10,000 Limit Hold'em Championship 7-Handed
Not often you recognize the name of everyone at the Final Table.
