OK OOT, it's been a while since we had a devoted fast food thread around here and I think it's time we had a new one.

Driving around the western US, heard the other day that YUM brands is cutting Pizza Hut loose.
My question is, who's gonna buy it?
if i was a billionaire i'd buy it and revolutionize the pizza game.
Arby's Roast Beef Pizza coming soon.
I keed. But the guy who "saved Arby's" got the majority of the Hut.

Seriously, though, Pizza Hut has to be the #1 nostalgia turnaround play in the quick service field. They've already got some franchisees doing it via Pizza Hut Classic branding. If they just FIX THE FOOD, i.e. go back to what they were doing 40 years ago, desloppify it, they could make bank.
Then the same group could buy KFC and fix that.

90s kids LOVED Pizza Hut, there was amazing culture.
Now those 90s kids are all grown up + many have kids of their own. I'd increase quality ten-fold + make a rewards system that's the best in the entire fast food game (not just casual pizza).
For Pizza Hut's slowest day of the week, I'd offer an amazing special price for that day. Or a BOGO free.
I'd market Pizza Hut as "The Pizza for Family". etc
Maybe have a commercial "Let's Pizza at the Hut like it's 1995 again!" to kickstart that nostalgic feel.

From my experience the take the baked ones and deep fry them, as opposed to making a fried-recipe pie and frying it. I don't really care to figure it out
Ordered at the drive thru for the first time in years because the wendys app was pooping itself. Luckily I'm fine with not getting $1 off a premium combo.

I'm an 80s kid but 100% agree. Ramp up the quality. Bring back the table top video game. Sheeit, I remember one Pizza Hut that had a juke box next to the Pac Man machine. I used to wear it out playing "I Love Rock and Roll" (Joan Jett).
Subway in Canada serving up foot long all beefs. Was going to pass but reviews are apparently really good. Will be interesting to have on italian herbs and cheese bread.

Had Mary Brown's Chicken while passing through Surrey the other day. Quite good. I liked the difference of gravy vs ketchup on the potato wedges, but didn't realize it would be so hot. Slight scald to my tongue.
Chicken moist, breading nice and crunchy. Got spicy, which was a little sneaky hot.

I'm addicted to the Costco food court chef salad. Today I went to Costco just for it.
Meanwhile, the woman one table over decided she was fine wearing a bikini and flip-flops for Costco. (I want to see how she handles the dairy area)

As someone who has recently gotten into salads, nice tip!
Last summer a saw a young fit lady wearing just basically underwear at the Safeway
First "real" job (after paper route) was "courtesy clerk" (bagger) at the Biltmore (ritzy) Safeway in Phoenix. One time a lady came in wearing only a crocheted pool coverup. Basically yarn around holes. But she wasn't wearing anything underneath! I had to look twice (4-5 times!) to be sure.
Was wash day.
