or just get the rolex gmt master batman homage, which looks fantastic and you could properly wear it swimming and diving

a steinhart was my first "real watch" purchase, at around what your budget is right now. they've got a lot of cool watches but here's the thing with steinhart: they make "homage" watches. so basically every watch they have is very very reminiscent of a famous high horology timepiece. but! importantly for legal reasons and for watch collectors, they don't proclaim to be a rolex daytona or whatever. it's not a fake rolex. but from 6 feet away, unless an observer is really a nutjob aficionado, the reaction to it on your wrist will be varying levels of "nice watch"
this is a neat one for 740 euros that is a blend of a rolex gmt master ii and an iwc aquatimer.

elegant but with a touch of something extra. i feel that for me in my watch evolution, the watch i am currently lusting after showcases a tourbillon but is otherwise very elegant and restrained. and i think this watch has that aesthetic of classy and low key but then a splash of BAM. and hamilton adds a nice amount of work finishing on the movement, you see pearlage on the baseplate, which is an artisan metalworking technique that every top tier swiss watch has. and you can see some ruby jewels, but they're necessary jewels, these jewels have a job, they're shock absorbers that are working with the rest of the components of the movement to keep precise time. i like this one.
There are some cool seikos. A lot of grand seikos are dope
Best looking time piece under $100?
I love my Timex. But the band is on the verge of collapse. Looking for something cool and possibly unique.
or just go to a little watch shop near you and walk in and see if they can upgrade your strap, they probably can. and you might see something vintage in your price range, you never know
