2p2 data breach/security exploit
Still not sure where the correct place should be but was recommended to post here:
Are the moderators going to let the players know about what happened, there could be the possibility then of responsible disclosure rather than just a pure data dump.
Multiple accounts and reports from me trying to contact you guys to let you know that you have a security problem so you can fix it, and your moderation teams ignorance.
And that two of those accounts say WHITEHAT.
But you used it to show that "You guys don't respond to reports and certainly not with integrity and morality remember? Thats part of how we got into this mess:", which it certainly doesn't. Unfortunately, only Max had the ability to solve the problem, and so it wasn't fixed until he saw the message he was sent, and was able to act on it. So the fact that you were able to make dozens of reports on the same issue (a number of them quite abusive to people) doesn't show that post reports aren't responded to. It might show that site issues aren't acted on as quickly as they ideally should be, but that's about it. And what it shows about integrity and morality, I have no idea.
Can someone tell me what the Kenyans have done to get dragged into all this? Will we get to learn that when we learn about the pandas?
The great irony here is that I've banned posters from threads for trolling jbouton.
And you found out otherwise, but you got the reason wrong. It's quite rare that a post is discussed in the mod forum, because most post reports are dealt with much more simply than that. Moderators look after their own forum(s); they don't need to have a days long discussion with moderators of other forums over every action they take. Most of the time, they'll act om their own, once in a while they'll discuss with other moderators of the forum via PM, and on rare occasion they'll bring it to the
I hard disagree with so much, and I think there are others who feel they KNOW this isn't a fair representation of the modership here.
But whats a useful point, is that from the players expectation, for example reporting, it doesn't work the natural way one feels it would. It doesn't go to an objective jury. It pretty much goes to the mod you know is ****ing with you in the first place.
My lord man, I reported in EVERY section I could. It took days!!! What are you defending here?
One thing I have to add - thanks for reporting the mod forum access issue. You could have said nothing, but you chose to report it. I appreciated that.
I could of lit the whole world up with it. I appreciate you acknowledging the truth of this part. I don't often get fair respect in the poker community.
I'm a moral player. Trustworthy. Good for the game. Good for security.
For the players.
Like, you have to post in a thread before you can report posts in that thread? I suppose that could work, doubt the software has functionality to support such a restriction though.
outed again in your false claim of having IT knowledge you fake nerd - go back to the pool halls and hang with the chads where you belong
good point but still, really surprised there's no mechanism to ensure you were actually part of the conversation you're reporting

Number one issue with this would be spam - making people post in order to report spam is problematic. And I think it's also reasonable that people read threads without posting, but might want to see a derail stopped. The alternative would be the opposite of what we want - people see a derail and have to post and ask for the derail to stop, further argument ensues, etc.
I think I can understand where rick is going with this in restricting people from ratting out people or points of view they don't like anonymously rather than debating the points, but the cure here is worse than the disease IMO.

yeah i hadn't thought through the other side of it and am well aware that the poster:lurker ratio is wild

👍
I'm convinced you believe this. And I think I do as well. That's why it's a shame you seem unable or unwilling to make much of an effort to clearly articulate your points and ideas.
Anyway, I'm not expecting we're going to see eye to eye on a lot of this, so I'm going to attempt to step away now as I think I've addressed all that I need to, at least for tonight.

You still didn't answer one simple question but expect me to answer two more?
Ok, yes I know who keynesians are, I have a college degree in economics.
Ok but you have a keynesian degree in economics tho, so nash is making fun of you here, it won't be funny to you...it will only be funny others:
I had not previously heard of your alphabet soup phrase, but I understand it to be a reference to several government agencies whose behavior is often kept secret.
My question should not be a difficult one. I'm not even asking for an explanation of how 2+2 violated anything, just what they violated. Even just the clause or amendment number violated would be a good start, and maybe sufficient.
You want me just to state exactly how 2p2 was complicit in breaking the American constitution? Just like a sentence or something? You think thats a thing that can happen?
Where is the offshore shawdow banking market that wang refers to here:
The 2008 Financial Crisis and the 2020 COVID-19 panic were largely due to runs of the the shadow banking system.
You have a degree in economics and thus some domain expertise to show people I don't understand economics. Do you agree with wang, and explain where these shadowbanks exist for us, this is obviously part of the constitutional issue.
You CENSORED my ideas and they are STILL censored.
I don't think I single one of your ideas has been censored. YOU have been censored because you can't communicate effectively.

you don't think **************** (the_wealth_of_chips no underscores) is censored? thats unsurprising coming from you.
What about ************? (ideal dash poker)
Weird...
I have a near 15 year history of being deleted and disappeared as soon as my ideas are identified. That even spread to RIO poker, right, its the community come on. Its the old guard.
Any reasonable person would look at that and realize the problem is them, not everyone else.
