2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
fwiw Wilson is second from the bottom in measured WRs in Receiver Score this season

I’m much more scared of Davante going to the jets, than this data
I'm most worried about Hackett and Saleh.
Fair haha
Speaking of which, lol.
do we think it's safe to drop Rice?
It's official. Kyle Pitts is not good at football. We no longer have to consider using a high draft pick on him. I get drafting London high(Not early second). He clearly demands targets and is good but not great at football.
My only redraft league where I have Rice is 8 man where we only roster 13 players and Kupp is on IR. Having to hold him is annoying, but yeah, I’ll wait for some more info before dropping. He’s been too good.
He is probably still gonna be out for the year. He's seeking a second opinion but they have already discussed potential surgery options. The fact that they haven't declared this a torn ACL and him being out for the year means there is still a chance he could come back this year. I wouldn't get your hopes up. At minimum he is gonna miss some time. I don't think we are going to hear any miracle recovery news here. If you can you might as well hold until more information comes out. If you are desperate I think you can safely drop him.
Yup haha. I have no idea why someone who thinks about the game on the level of Rodgers likes him. Hackett must be a great yes man.

He let Russ do whatever he wanted. He gave him an office. He let Russ bring his people to the facility. He let Russ be a pocket passer. He never criticized Russ.
Hackett is definitely a "yes man".
Is there anything more deflating than looking at your currently advancing teams in best ball and seeing CMC and Rice on your roster?
What a brutal injury year. So many superstars are down.
I just tell myself that I have way more teams where I’m going against those guys in other leagues 😆

That's a good way to look at it. I have a bunch of teams that are currently middle of the pack but still relatively healthy and now have a path to advancing. My Worthy and Kelce shares are in better shape.
Just wondering what the thoughts are on D. Wicks as being the #1 waiver target this week?
I know he had a huge target game with 13 in week 4, but Love only went to him 3 times in week 1. I'm just not sure if he is worth using a waiver priority on. I added Doubs last week. I feel that Doubs and Wicks could take turns as the #2 or even #1 target in Green Bay.
So far this season, the only player that I've gone strong on for waivers is JK Dobbins. Jordan Mason wasn't available for week 1 waivers. Bucky Irving seemed like a decent target a few weeks back as well.

I put 100% of my remaining faab budget on wicks in both faab leagues I’m in (71/100 and 140/300) and I used #1 and #3 ww in my ypls on him.
He has been able to earn very healthy target shares when he’s played, he should be on the field a ton now, GB should have a strong offense, Watson should be out a while/be brought back slowly, and Wicks could have a chance to consolidate the role
That’s the upside case - here’s the risk: Watson comes back in a few weeks, the packers keep the same rotation but just add Melton, Wicks continues to have drop problems, Wicks isn’t as good as his metrics have said he is
I maybe missed some stuff, but this is the kinda risk I’m willing to bet on. I could obviously be wrong and nobody else in my league seemed to think he’s worth much as I way outbid everyone…
Anyone drafting best ball resurrection on UD?
I’ve drafted 3, gotta say, it’s way less fun than offseason best ball, so I think I may draft 1 or 2 more and be done with it

Waking up this morning wishing I had bid more $44>$26 but anybody getting targets in a passing offense has to be taken seriously at this point. Watson coming back is a possibility but he hasnt exactly shown enough to guarantee his targets when he does return.
Wicks a good a gamble as any and much preferable to my 'free' acquisition of JuJu

I drafted some last year and didn't have fun either. My results also weren't great, granted, I think I maybe did 10-20. I'm not drafting them this year.
