Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan

anyone else tired of the constant Jets talk in fantasy and real football discussions? They suck, Breece is a fine asset and Wilson's value is lowered due to Adams. Please stop talking about this irrelevant franchise non stop.

Preach!

The realization that fantasy football isn't all fun and games is a tough one. Solid advice from dad at the end lol.

Not a great dad imo. He should have told him that Sutton has always sucked and his team was mid at best anyway

Are we still keeping the faith with LaPorta?

Williams being suspend for the next 2 games could help him a little but in redraft I'd be tempted to try and trade him + WR/RB for an Otton/Kmet plus WR/RB uptick if possible

lol. I have never understood why people like Sutton. I had some debates on X this past summer about him being a bad pick.

For me it was price and knowing he was going to be his team's WR1.

He was usually going end of round 8 on DK, and the other skill players in that range were Njoku, Hollywood, and Hopkins. He's been better than them. Although it wouldn't surprise me to see Njoku and Hopkins get an uptick given their new situations.

Being a fringe WR3 last year while scoring 10 TDs told me enough about his upside. I was also usually at 4-5 WRs by the 8th, so RBs, TEs, and QBs were my targets.

I was one arguing I liked taking him 9th-11th in best ball if you went RB heavy. Def bad strat.

This was it for me aswell. Level one thinking of "who else are they going to throw too"

I did not time dropping D-Hop very well Monday night as evidence by the trade this morning

neither PIT nor BUF is a top 5 defense

PIT is on the cusp

I was thinking they played Denver last week but that was a week earlier.

👍

DEN def a top unit

MIN the clear #1 unit right now imo

re DEN, an additional aspect of their success this season has been Nix' ability to avoid damaging plays while conducting the offense in his first reps vs NFL defenses

Fantasy football is not fun at all this year. This kid is right. The injuries are ridiculous. The QB and TE play is a joke. Fantasy football is no longer a game of skill, it's a game of getting lucky with injuries. The new IR rule and concussion protocol stuff has ruined fantasy football.

i'm looking at this graphic now and wondering how they have 0.0% for Dalton 'Sack'

i suppose they're grading none of the sacks as being Dalton's fault?.?

and wasn't Watson getting sacked like 8 times a game?

I'm having pretty insane luck with Injuries this year

Traded Nico for Bijan in redraft and Shaheed for Dobbins in dynasty days before they got injured.

The luck factor probably explains why I'm actually in with a chance in my leagues this year and am thoroughly enjoying fantasy

it's bizarre

i just messaged the author asking for an explanation on the stat. will post his reply if i receive one

received a reply. it's what we thought it was:

It’s sack’s that are deemed to be the QB’s fault, not total sacks they took

The dad's quote should be on bumper stickers, because it can be applied to so many facets of life: "You gotta look at the waiver wire and keep it movin'. That's all you can do."

If any of my single friends strike out on a date I am going to use this quote.

Can we all agree Pete C leaving Seattle was great for fantasy football?

100%

It would be classic fantasy for Tua to return but Reek not play.

Don't give me an excuse to remove Waddle from my bench ffs

I have a lot of RB and WR depth. What do you guys think of trading for Malik Nabers and giving up Jayden Reed and Chase Brown? I like Nabers > Reed ROS by a decent bit but it feels like Chase Brown could completely blow up in the second half, although he has a difficult schedule.

would need to know your roster, your league's structure. etc.

things to consider

fantasypros ROS WR rank:

Nabers #6
Reed #9

ESPN's Karabell:

Nabers #7
Reed #14

Peacked in H.S.'s trade value point total:

Nabers: 64.5 pts
Reed + Brown: 47.5

Appreciate the response. I am leaning towards doing it.
