Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan

At those prices I like Trevor & Engram a lot as QB12+ and TE12+ pieces in best ball portfolios.

Etienne not so much lol

Yeah, I’m out on the RBs until we get past the draft. I’ll add Kirk as a good value too.

People are already tilting me. Twice I’ve tried to set up Chase/Tee from the 1.01. And both times, unstacked Burrow goes mid 4th lol.

In my playoff fantasy league I’m down about 50 pts with 6 players left

.5ppr scoring

Hurts
Pacheco
AJB
Goedert
Hollywood
Butker

2 teams basically tied ahead of me
1. Has Mahomes + KCdst
2. Has Kelce

1 team I’m ahead of by 11, but they have
Barkley
D Smith
Eagles dst

Pacheco and Hollywood have basically not been scoring. Do I have a good shot to win? Feel like for having 6 players left im not feeling like a lock

I think you have a shot, but nowhere near a lock. I'm not even sure if you're better than a flip, but I don't play this format, so I don't have a good hunch.

At least you don't overlap with the other teams you posted about. Hurts a lot if the KC D shuts down the Eagles or if Barkley/DeVonta get everything.

The best ball streets are wild right now. I feel like I'm just clicking buttons trying to avoid early round dups for now. Mostly focusing on fades rather than overweight players.

I'm up to 25 slows.

I figured Jeanty would sneak into the first round. The Cowboys seem like a likely landing spot which would make him first round worthy. I would love my Broncos getting him but they would need to move up. Payton likes to use a RBBC so a move up is unlikely. I think we will be able to get Jeanty in the early second in some fantasy drafts because there are a lot of really good players going behind him who might be taken before him.

CMC at 15 seems about right.

Achane should be a bit higher.

JT could be a bargain at 19

I'm fading Kittle at 36. There were a lot of injuries and Deebo sucked for some reason. I feel like Kittle is a regression candidate.

There are several players I would have ahead of Devonta Smith.

I'll draft Tyreek Hill 100% if he is going at 40. Is this a typo?

Haha, no that's what was listed.

Some people are down on Reek, probably with good reason. He started out 53 on UD and is up to 29. Pretty wide range for his draft slot right now. I’ve seen him go as high as mid 2nd. I’ve taken him a few times in the third.

It's not too often that an aging WR coming off a bad season is actually able to turn it around the following year.

Reek in the 1st - lol
Reek in the 2nd or 3rd - depends on who is going around him
Reek in the 4th or later - certainly

I'll probably have more than I'd like assuming he's still with Miami because of homerism.

Was he playing with a bad hand from when he was thrown down by the cops? His QB play was pretty bad some of the year with Tua out. . Does he look like he has lost a step? I haven't broken down any film on him but it does seem there were extenuating circumstances that might have lead to the down year. He certainly didn't get the same targets he did a year ago. Did he not earn these targets or was this bad coaching? Achane and Jonnu ate up a lot of targets. Maybe the pie is just not big enough. My biggest concern with Tyreek is his attitude and off field issues.

Taking him in the third seems like the perfect GTO play.

His first 2 seasons in Miami he was averaging close to 570 YAC

Last season it was 292

He also had a lot less targets and receptions.

Tough to know if he’s cooked or not. We can blame both poor offense and potential aging concerns.

I think players that have shown the ceilings of Reek and CMC are still worth the risk when we are trying to hit the nuts. But the floor is low.

I think Reek will eventually move up into the mid second, so I’m going to be heavy for now.

That team either wins him first or doesn’t cash at all lol. No in between .

Got sick, so decided to draft my 1st big board. Feel like this draft was brutal. I don’t know the rookies well enough

These RBs are terrible, wanted to grab a bunch of rookies but kept getting sniped

Qb - Purdy, Tua, JJ

Rb - Jacobs, Dobbins, Najee, Guerrendo, Chubb, Trevor ETN

Wr - JJ, Reek, Addison, Aiyuk, Jennings, Hollywood, M Washington, Westbrook Ikhine

Te - Kittle, Loveland, Taysom

Drafted another horrible team lol, think I’ll wait until may to draft again

Qb - Love, Carr, Milroe (sniped a million times)

Rb - Achane, Monty, Corum, Allgier, Ollie Gordon, Guerrendo

Wr - Puka, JSN, D Smith, Olave, Shaheed, Restropo, Westbrook-Ikhine, Watson

Te - Andrews, Njoku, Gray

Haha, these contests can make you feel really lost, especially if you haven't reviewed much ADP or rookies. I like the first team more than the second team.

The slows really help me get acclimated, plus watching streamers and finding a feel for things through them.

I drafted my first two fast drafts on Friday night, both in The Little Board.

Herbert, Dak, Dart
Bucky, Conner, TreVeyon, Giddens, Javonte, Harvey
CeeDee, Ladd, Rome, Tet, Hollywood, Coker, Thielen, Wan'Dale, Tank
Andrews, Kelce

Caleb, Stroud, Fields
CMC, Pollard, Neal, Allgeier, Lloyd, Martinez
Nico, DJM, Rome, Waddle, Pickens, Egbuka, Thielen, Curtis
Goedert, Fannin, Higbee

Third time was not a charm lol. Just drafted this team and did not play the ADP pockets well. Do not like.

Baker, Shedeur, Fields
Jeanty, A. Jones, Najee, Javonte, Brashard Smith, LeQuint Allen
Nico, Evans, Adams, Godwin, Hunter, Kirk, Tre Harris, Jaylin Noel
McBride, Ertz, Fannin

Man looking at these drafts I don’t know 90% of these rookies.

Me neither lol. I have a base level knowledge of the higher drafted, but that’s mostly through box score checking and listening to others who are deeper in the weeds.

My goal for now is to simply go along with ADP and mix in rookies. And honestly, a lot of it isn’t going to matter until the draft, so I try not to overthink it. It’s mostly rookies are always undervalued, so you’re bound to hit on some.

Just have to embrace the bye week, FA landing spot, rookie capital/landing spot, etc. variance when drafting now.

Will the curse of the most touches the previous season strike again?

I’ll take him here and there but I’ll be happy to not get the first pick a ton .
