Thanks for sharing. I agree with him that the field isn’t stacking enough and it’s probably less than 1QB, since ADP doesn’t align as well.

When two QBs can, and ideally should, hit your lineup each week. And you only need to start 6 others out of 18 on the roster, stacking is just so powerful. It’s great for advancing. It’s great for the playoff weeks. The good offenses will carry your successful teams.

I’m probably overstacking and probably reaching a little too far at times. But I think I want to err on that side rather than understacking.

I don’t think ADP value is that important in SF, since I already don’t think ADP is super efficient. But I do still think I need to push it more than I do sometimes, since there are teams getting the same stacks at or after ADP.

Though, after we talked about reaching for Waddle yesterday, I tried to push him today without Achane/Reek and didn’t get him haha. Ironically, I took Mixon 8 picks past ADP instead on that one. I ended up with Wright/Malik. I also forgot about Waller already.

The other thing he mentioned was how the top 4 picks have such an advantage being able to get an elite QB. That one way to try to counter that advantage if you're picking 5-12 is to take elite skill players, and push QB to rounds 3-5.

Yeah I was thrilled he said that bc intuitively, I’ve been full fading burrow/mahomes, etc… but I wasn’t confident

Pulling up Love with Lamar was a thing he mentioned that’s probably unique and also game stacking QBs

Lamar, Love, Shough. Z Wilson

Bucky, Breece, Mixon, Tuten, Wright, Hill

Nico, Evans, Olave, Bateman, Doubs, Keenan, Wicks

Andrews, Kraft, Waller

Yep. If 1.01 takes Lamar, it makes taking Jayden over Allen at 1.02 enticing since you have a shot of stacking him with Dak.

Haha idk if I can pass on Allen there. He’s been t2 in qb scoring 6 yrs in a row, right?

haha true. although the 1.01 in my draft now just toook Jayden there (but then didn't stack him with Dak.

It’s a tough balance. Because the front 4 of the board still have had access to everyone except the top 3 WRs and top 3 RBs. They’re the only ones I haven’t seen fall that far back. Obviously, some more often than not. Third round reversal would be a nice counter action, but I doubt UD would do it.

A common one is Josh, Nabers, Achane vs Gibbs, CD, Trevor. What can you do? Because the 1.01 still has QBs and other great WR/RB options at the 4/5.

But I agree with the general premise. I’ve mixed in the late first/early second QBs to not keep doing the same combos, but I’m underweight all of them.

I’ve done that one a few times. Baker/Tua back half is also one that isn’t very common. Then Fields/Maye, Caleb/Brock, Burrow/Kyler if you get lucky, Penix/Stafford isnt common, Bryce/Darnold.

I’m currently working on trying to stack Gibbs/ARSB/Goff from the 1.06 in a slow. If Goff doesn’t make it, I’ll take JJM.

Forgot about Mahomes/Nix too.

Originally I was thinking a 4-7-6-3 build was the way to go, but now I'm thinking it's either 4-6-7-3 or 4-5-7-4.

Taking an extra WR or TE opens up more stacking opportunities.

I think it’s mostly about draft capital in determining that

I just got my Lamar/Love. Should've taken TE over Kirk or QJ.

Funny how my team is the opposite of Jimmy's at RB. He's got Bucky and Wright, and I've got Achane and White lol.

Lamar, Love, Dart, Z. Wilson

Achane, Chase, Pollard, Mondre, White, Hill

Reek, DJM, Tet, Golden, Kirk, QJ, Slayton

Andrews, T. Ferguson, Kmet

Strange how W17 is almost intuitive at times. Like I didn't even mean to stack JAX/IND and wasn't even thinking about Geno/Meyers when I took Theo. The TB/MIA was intentional.

Dak, Geno

Bucky, Walker, BRob, Tuten, Dowdle, Shipley, Eli

CD, Reek, Pickens, Deebo, Meyers, Shaheed, Dyami, Malik

Warren, Gesicki, Theo

I like this a lot.

Zach Wilson is a sneaky good pick. He looked good last year in pre season for the Broncos but never had a chance to be the guy. If Tua goes down he may be a great story this year.

SF...Pick 2

I figured out the trick to drafting a good team is to get a top 2 pick.

Also, I think it's important to draft guys who can be identified by their first name. For some reason I can never spell Pachecos first name so I just put his last.

Also, I'm drafting Keenan every chance I get because he is gonna get signed and then be going several rounds earlier.

QB) Lamar, Dak, Bryce

RB) Breece, Pacheco, Quinshon, Najee, Rico, Justice

WR) Nico, Terry, Tet, Rashod, Hollywood, Demario, Keenan, AD

TE) Mark, Jake, Juwon

Looks pretty good. I’d add at least 1 more RB and 1 less WR.

If Keenan isn’t signed by camp, it won’t be good. I haven’t heard a thing about him either.

I’ve mostly cooled off, but I was only about even, anyways. I drafted him heavier in the pre-draft, and he wasn’t cheap at the beginning lol. He was round 10 and has gradually dropped since.

Keenan will be signed before camp. He is a steal right now. We see this every year. We know it's coming. He'll be right back in round 10 again. He's an absolute free square.

Right, we seen it every year, but the situations that pay off are more like Dobbins. Guys who make it this far generally end up being bad bets. WRs are generally less appealing than RBs too.

Newguy put together some info a while ago about FAs who sign later on, and the stats weren’t very good.

Even when Keenan signs, he certainly won’t be in round 10. He’ll likely move up 2-4 rounds, depending on the landing spot. Which makes the risk less appealing.

Amari is another one, but I think he might be completely toast. I haven’t drafted him at all.

I wouldn’t be surprised if neither is signed by camp at this point.

Dobbins
Pros -
Was actually good last year
Playing in a Sean Payton offense

Cons -
Injury risk
Playing in a Sean Payton offense

Chubb
Pros -
Great CV
High ceiling if he can stay healthy

Cons -
Injury risk/Age
Plays in a pass heavy offense and won't see the field much on 3rd downs/passing situations

Keenan
Pros -
He was okay last year

Cons -
Age
Not signed yet

Cooper
Pros -
Nothing

Cons -
Everything

Think it looks fine even with the reaching

Sam Sherman was on Davis’s stream yesterday. He joined about 1/2 way in

Missed on most of the Seahawks stacks

SF

Maye, Penix, Darnold, Jimmy G

Saquon, Henderson, Kaleb, Spears, Braelon, Lloyd

CD, Adams, Rome, Diggs, Mooney, Pop, Coker

Goedert, Pitts, Arroyo

I just did some Seahawks too haha.

I hit on my Seahawks stack here, and even created a makeshift w17 setup with the Panthers with my last 3 picks.

At 38, I drafted BTJ over Ladd. I'm not sure if that's correct, but I did it because I like BTJ more, Herbert/BTJ have the exact same ADP in the middle of the 3rd so rarely paired, and I knew I had plenty of LAC options later. What do you guys think?
