2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
This was my first SF and it was a disaster. I told myself I only wanted to take 3 QB's because I don't think taking more than that is a winning formula so I took 5. Somehow I only ended up with 4 RB's but I have 7 WR's and 4 TE's. QB) Mahomes, Rodgers, Darnold, Shough, MilroeRB) Jeanty, Bucky, Najee, SkatteboWR) Ladd, Worthy, Coleman, Hollywood, Doubs, Douglas, Thorton. TE) Kel
I don’t hate it but don’t think you need 4 TEs.
The biggest and most costly mistake is only taking 4 RBs. You should really be taking a minimum of 6, but closer to 7 or 8 on every team. They're just worth so much more than WR.
Eliminator
JJM, Tua, Geno
Breece, Hampton, ETN, Roschon, Shipley, Sanders (2 bye overlaps)
JJ, AJB, DK, Meyers, Shaheed, Tre, Malik (2 bye overlaps)
LaPorta, Gesicki
This one was a little better.
SF....Pick 9
I should have grabbed a TE where I drafted Quenton.
QB) Love, Penix, Geno
RB) Barkley, Jeanty, Javonte, Rhomondre, Guerrendo, Ekeler, Lloyd
WR) Pickens, Waddle, Samuel, Golden, Doubs, Q Johnson, D Thornton.
TE) Kittle, Gray, Arroyo
I managed to do the impossible… have an extremely weak qb room with Josh Allen.
Room was crazy, everyone grabbed 3-4 QBs in the first 8rds and I didn’t adjust well. Cam Ward went 1 before Ladd, I would’ve taken him. So basically just decided to try to be strong everywhere else
Allen, Milroe, Gabriel, Milton, Howell
Brown, Harvey, Conner, Kaleb, Roschon, Sampson
Puka, Nico, Ladd, Smith, Keon, Tillman
Engram, Andrews, Kincaid
Drafters
Allen, Herbert
Cook, Swift, Pacheco, ETN, Allgeier, Braelon, Sanders, Corum
ARSB, Ladd, Hunter, Coleman, Tre, Doubs, Iosivas, Felton
Kincaid, Gesicki
Went WR heavy early
Baker, JJM, Milroe, Z Wilson
Harvey, Kaleb, Mason, Tracy, Mondre, White, Keaton
JJ, AJB, Reek, Evans, Bech, Keenan
Warren, Pitts, Waller
Sorry newguy
Oh they'll see soon enough. I did cut back quite a bit though to start mixing in some other players and might grab some shares of Nailor as well.
I already have enough trouble clicking Roschon as it is.
Also, Sam Sherman was on CSI yesterday. I haven't had a chance to listen yet, but it'll be one of my next watches. I'm excited to hear his thoughts at this point of the summer. If his posts on X are any indication, he's definitely giving us some Rashee Rice takes haha.
Something kind of fun I've been doing to mix things up a bit is using the a randomizer wheel to pick which which teams I'll draft from that day.
So I add all 32 teams, and then spin it 16 times. Each time, I'll remove the team that was chosen. At the end, those 16 teams are the only ones I can pick from.
Jimmy, did you catch the SF stream that Herzig did earlier? I saw it was posted in the Discord.
SF
Hurts, Bryce, Shough, Milton
Achane, Breece, Tracy, Ekeler, Chubb, Giddens, Corum
Nico, Tet, Smith, Olave, Shaheed, Keenan
Engram, Goedert, Sanders
This tilted me so hard I slammed my keyboard and broke one side of the stand lol. But ****, so close to a really sick w17 stack. First time I've been able to pair Burrow/Kyler too. At least I got the slight McBride fall.
The team is alright but definitely not my favorite.
Burrow, Kyler, Dart, Hooker
Chase, KW, Jones, Skattebo, Benson, Blue, Keaton
ARSB, Jamo, Kupp, Bateman, Wilson, Slayton, Burton
McBride, Gesicki
ouch, that's rough
Brutal!
Herzig video was interesting. I definitely was having a hard time stopping at 5 WRs but seems like that’s completely fine
4-5 QBs sounds like the right call and even going 2 QBs in 19-20 makes sense based off the vid
Watched it while drafting this actually grabbed Marietta before he recommended it haha
Game stacking QBs is a huge edge, which was obvious, but I still find it somewhat difficult to do
Tua, Ward, Rodgers, Milroe, Mariota
Saquon, Brob, Warren, Skattebo, White, Wright, Sanders
CD, Nico, DK, Waddle, Lockett
Loveland, Ertz, Theo
Got a game stack
SF
Daniels, Dak, Gabriel, Willis
Brown, Breece, Mixon, Brob, Skattebo, Shipley
ARSB, Pickens, Addison, Mooney, Shaheed, Tillman, Keenan
J Ferguson, Ertz, Waller
It looks good.
Did Justin mention anything about maximum amount of stacked teammates he likes per squad? Or mention anything about reaching for stacks?
I know he already doesn’t think the field stacks enough in 1QB.
It looks good.

I don't think he said anything about maximum number. He had Hurts and didn't reach for AJB, then later on he took DeVonta like 4 or 5 spots ahead of ADP. He said something like, "A bit of a reach..." he thought the Solver recommending Mixon was a better play, but then went on to say he still thinks W17 and stacks are important, and that he thinks people are actually stacking less often in SF.
His final team -
Hurts, Ward, AR, Mariota
Henry, Jacobs, Walker, Spears, White
BTJ, DeVonta, Olave, Deebo, Pittman, Hollywood, Pierce
Pitts, Muth, Theo, Arroyo
