2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Is having $20 left at this stage too little? My squad is very strong I think, but wr may be too weak in a few weeks and te is bad, but Iβm guessing I can recover
Depends on how much everyone else has? I am new to guillotines myself but it has become obvious to me you want to be in as strong a FAAB position as you can coming down the stretch as really good players will be popping up every week.

Very good players will for sure be coming available, but the cost for those players should also go way down
The part Iβm unsure of is how valuable it is to significantly increase odds of safety over the next few weeks vs holding faab and buying later
I think guys like Bijan and Gibbs are worth it as theyβll be starters in the final rd, but I donβt know if Iβll have enough now to grab a bowers or JSN if they come available

I think a lot of it is relative as to how much $$$ you have versus what the others have. I think you only want to spend money (early on) on someone you feel comfortable with in the final game. As each week goes by each team gets stronger. Early on you only should be spending money on 1st 2cnd round types you plan on playing come hell or high water. I think you need to nibble around the edges on depth pieces without going nuts. Face it every team will be superstacked by the last few weeks and it all will come down to who gets lucky/unlucky in those final weeks.
Good luck! Hopefully I don't take 4 QBs this time.
Has anyone ever been in the scenario of trying to talk a long running fantasy home league to switch from standard (non-ppr) to a half PPR system?
One guy thinks players should not get any more points from a catch.
I proposed that the 1/2 point gives WRs more value, so managers are not just hoarding RBs or holding backup RBs and waiting for an injury. Also no fantasy content out there discusses fantasy from a non-PPR perspective.
Just curious if anyone else has been here and if they were able to convince some of the standard scoring truthers about the error in their ways.
This could've been huge for the Waddle bags
Henderson!
Some fun sweats for the 3Q tonight.
3 teams in 1st place. All seem pretty safe. Highest scoring is 172 with 100 being the next closest score.
2 teams in 2nd place, but got someone right behind me in both. The one that could be close is a 1 point lead with my Doubs vs their Saquon.
2 teams in 3rd place. Team 1 is behind 0.32 and would need Golden or Shipley to score 9.31 to hit the flex. Team 2 is behind 0.98 and would need 12.11 from Golden to get in the flex, or 24.81 from Love to be my QB score (currently have Goff with 24.80).
2 teams in 5th place with no shot.
Nice, good luck! I have some sweats too.
A) 2nd place, my team is done.
+6 on 3rd. They have Jacobs and need +12.5 to hit the lineup.
4th/5th dead.
B) 2nd place, my team needs +6.6 from AJB to hit the lineup. -13.9 on first, with no live players.
+2.08 on 3rd. They have Doubs and need +12.7 for him to hit the lineup.
+19.36 on 4th. They have Watson and need +2.80 for him to the the lineup.
+35.6 on 5th. They have Jacobs and Saquon, with the only RB points right now 3.6 from Mason.
C) 3rd place, with Jacobs to go and Carter as my RB2 with .4. -20 on 2nd, who has no live players.
+11 on 4th. They have Doubs and need +4.5 for him to hit the lineup.
5th is dead.
D) 4th place, with Jacobs needing +10.10 to hit the lineup and Watson needing +2.90 to hit the lineup. -9.7 on 2nd, no live players. -3.38 on 3rd, no live players.
+.66 on 5th. They need +4.4 for Watson to hit the lineup, so I have them blocked.
Just hoping at least 2/4 advance.
GL! just started looking at the slate for DFS. I really like Jacobs. Then depending on which Packers WRs miss, I also really like Wicks or Heath.

I've got one remaining home league that is still 0ppr and only starts 2 WR -- if you don't get a top tier RB via the draft you're just doing exactly what you said, which is hoarding backup's waiting for injuries. It's a mind-numbingly, frustratingly boring league that I really should drop. Your reasons are all accurate.
This Bucky injury is really starting to tilt me. Hasn't played since 9/28, wasn't placed on IR, still no timetable to return. Sounds like his foot is probably healed, but they're still waiting on the shoulder. Godwin still with no timetable to return, either.
Yeah it’s brutal. Hoping mondre stays out so I can keep starting Hendo instead of Rashaad white

Unfortunately hoarding backup rbs is the right strategy in .5ppr too especially if you’re only forced to start 2 wr and it’s 12tm or less
Poor Treylon. Any time the dude shows an ounce of potential, his body says not today, sir.
Advanced 4/9 in the 3Q. Already looking ahead and not a fan of my remaining teams having 0 players from the MNF game as it's the highest total of the week currently.
Nice! I advanced 3/4. I really threaded the needle. The Jacobs fumble pushed me into 2nd in one pod by 1.3 and then also pushed me down to a tie with 3rd in another pod, where I held the tiebreaker. And then I held my 2.08 lead on 3rd in another pod.
I'm heavy Colts and Fields, so need some run good. I did advance a team with Tee and Rice, where I also have Rodgers, Warren/Gainwell, DK, and Muth, so hopefully the Pit/Cin game delivers.
A lot of high totals this week. 7 games between 47.5 and 50.5. I have a team with Javonte/Bowers that is a heavy Colts team with Dimes, JT, Pierce. I'd love for that team to find a way.
And Hunter officially out for the season after undergoing knee surgery.
At least I've still got the memories of the Rams game

Not as bad as I thought it'd be.
Pod 1 - one person has Bowers
Pod 2 - one person has Javonte
Pod 3 - one with Jeanty and one with Bowers
Pod 4 - two with Bowers and one with Blue and Bowers
The Broncos have resigned Lil Jordan Humphrie. This will relieve Pat Bryant of his blocking duties and allow him to catch more passes. I would play 100% Pat if I played DFS this week. I think a 6/90 and two TD's could be in order.
