2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Monken! Haha
Based on the history of RBs that lead the league in touches the previous year, CMC is the easiest 1st round pick to bust.
I'm discounting injuries as being the bust reason, unless they do the bullshit they did with CMC in 2024 then yes.
Just dont see JT producing the aswell as he did this year without the way they were running the offense with Jones.
JJ is going to be a disgusting click, no matter where he ends up. I think he'll be around the 2/3 turn. At that price, probably just have to close your eyes and hope and mix in at a 6-8% clip. I get betting on the talent, and that's the game we are playing. But the situation is not ideal, regardless of who they bring in to compete against JJM.
I feel for someone like yourself that loves/hates doing the pre draft drafts, man thats a weird sentence, you just have to be overweight on JJ if he's going at the 2/3 turn.
Arguments being he won't drop any lower, very likely to rise to the 1/2 turn, the talent, very slim possibility of a trade but very slim , JCM improves a bit and also its ****ing Justin Jefferson
I don't view much difference between the 2/3 turn and the 1/2 turn, if the argument is he can move up in cost as draft season goes along. That simply changes the combo of players he's being drafted with, since ADP is typically very rigid in the first 3-4 rounds. There is not much deviation. And it matters even less in timebox contests.
JJ had two top 15 weeks this past season, both with Wentz. And since I play most of my action on UD in .5 PPR with no bonuses, yards and TDs are far more important than reception volume. Especially when it comes to the important spike weeks.
The fact of the matter is the Vikings are somewhat pot committed to JJM for at least 2026. And even if they bring in someone else, who will that be? That QB will not be guaranteed a starting spot, limiting their selection even more.
Of course JJM could improve, but you're betting on a lot of uncertainty in a range of the draft where there are a lot of really good players with certainty. JJ was my lowest drafted first round player in 2025. Talent doesn't automatically equal fantasy points.
New Mitten is up. I'll do 20 or so, and just try to load up on DEN and SEA since I didn't really get any through.
Sick! I hope they get it done for you. That weather does look brutal haha. Just have to drink enough booze you don’t feel it.
Oh ya, add Tua to the fade list if ends up getting a starting job somewhere else.
This guy would have McBride playing 60% of the snaps. How does he keep getting looked at for opportunities?
Dante Moore returning to Oregon. The rookie class continues to thin.
Looks like Jimmy and I share a pod in the Mitten and Mitten 2
Still waiting on the Mitten 3 to go through.
Glgl
Oh **** Newguy, just found our pods. We both have pretty solid teams in those
I feel better about my 49ers fade this week
Hell yeah! Nice hit.
Thanks! Pretty hilarious getting there with a 2 from Charb.
I had 200 lineups total. Boosted Walker, Cook, and Kincaid. Sims were giving me 85% CMC, but I lowered him to 60%. Pretty much faded the rest of the 9ers except for some Purdy, Tonges, and a little Jennings.
Congrats Newguy !!
I have a team left in the milly with 5 guys left but no qb so prolly dead .
