2024 Fantasy Football Thread
Welcome to the 2024 fantasy season, where I'm officially addicted to best ball. I've been drafting since the end of Jan
Gibbs the new 1.01
Pulling Monty to 90s now.
Monty is a great pick now. I’d been taking him hoping the trade would go through.
I think he’s going to steam to at least the 6th.
Just went at 68. I was taking him 87 too.
Spoiler

Looks like I'm 4% on UD, but still can't get into my account for a few weeks and probably done there anyways.
Got 3% on DK so I can get that up a little I guess.
The irony of him being a worse pick on DK, yet he's going to steam faster there than UD.
I expect the Texans to put Woody in the role he belongs. Monty will probably have a similar role as 2023-2024 Detroit, with less TD upside. I wouldn't be surprised if they split close to 50/50 and Monty handles the rushing work and Woody most of the passing work.
They have a great defense so maybe more heavy run scripts for them. I think Monty plays a larger role than an even split though regardless. Marks was not good, Monty struggled last year but I think he’s still quite a bit better than marks
It's possible but teams are also stubborn. Just because we think a player may suck doesn't mean the team does, especially for non-fantasy type of production.
They invested a 3rd round equivalent in Woody, and I don't see him just fading away. Maybe it's 60/40, but I'd be pretty surprised if Monty is at a 70%+ snap share with Woody healthy.
Oh yeah I think something like 60/40 with a ceiling of 65/35 but all the goal line work basically
This is always a fun read.
Watching a little of Liam's first stream. Of course he takes Cook with his first pick lol.
Talks a little about QB pricing. It's stupid high, but you pretty much have to pay in order to not get locked out. Agrees with what we've been doing for the most part by just taking 2 in the first 10-12 rounds. Let's you stop at 2 if you want but also gives you flexibility to add a 3rd dart throw.
Judkins and Skat are way overpriced.
No ranking on Rice yet. Not sure where to place him.
Joined a dynasty league and had a 2 tm dispersal draft… the players available were absolutely atrocious so I did my best lmao
12x12 .25 ppc, 2 te 1.75tep, 1.25 wr ppr, SF 6pt passing tds
Also have all my 27 & 28 picks + 1.02, 1.04, additional 27 1st, 2.02, 2 27 3rds, 4.09, and 4.11
Have Jalen McMillan as well (not shown)
Going Mendoza + best wr avail in the draft unless Love doesn’t go 1.01
Tough to mentally adjust to those settings, but I think I like your draft more.
Either way, you have a long way to competing lol. Those teams were run into the ground. Hopefully after 2-3 rookie drafts, you’ll be in there.
Haha yeah new/weird settings are interesting and a nice change of pace at times, but it takes me a while to know if I’m valuing stuff correctly
I legitimately wasn’t sure if laporta > 1.04 in that format
I think so. I’d take him and the 27 1st over Ward, Shough and Jacobs. But it worked out since you got the 1.04 too haha.
Meanwhile, haven’t been drafting much and just saw Javonte is up to 43.2. That is fantastic news. I laughed out loud when I opened a slow at pick 36 and saw that.
You never know what to believe, but this is also believable.
Is this guy sharp/in the know? He seems not, but I’ve never heard of him so I’m only going off a quick read of his page
Regardless, it’s definitely in the realm of possibilities but idk that id move my priors based on this tweet
Yeah, I have no idea how legit it is. I’ve been mixing Aiyuk in with his price. But it’s tough to feel good about him.
There was a lot of smoke with Mixon last year that kept getting worse and worse. And we see how that went haha.

Oh yeah, I drafted him occasionally (8%) but definitely have the risk in the back of my head. I actually buy that he didn’t take rehab seriously, my doubt is moreso around the guys commentary automatically means his career is over
I think they might have to, assuming they follow through with releasing Tua, which seems like they will. It's either Ewers or someone like Brissett/Mariota on a $5-$8 mil vet deal. They can't afford someone like Willis.
New coaching staffs typically don't want to tank season 1, but their best bet is to as much of the cap hits this year as they can and try to win the #1 pick in the 2027 draft.
