I'll be maxing (20) the $1 contest on DK with the following rules:
- Herbert and/or Mahomes on every team.
- Stick close to ADP for the first 5 rounds.
- 2 QBs thru 11 rounds. Only taking a 3rd in the 140-200 range if they fall past ADP.
- 100% Fade on CLE, NYJ, MIA, and ARI

Anyone going to dip their toes in the NBA Playoffs on UD?

Not me, I love the nba playoffs, but mostly because I completely ignore the regular season and get to learn what teams have done in the past year during the playoffs
Feel like if I tried best ball I would have no idea how to gauge how teams are planning to condense lineups during the playoffs and even what their strategies in general might be
I'm going to do like 15-20 teams. Mostly focusing on taking players from the top 5 in each conference. I'll lean towards having one team from the East or West as my primary, and then build around them to get around 2-3 full Finals teams. The rest will be one offs for advancement.
The hard part, which you can't really control, is not overloading on players from teams that win their series in 4 to 5 games.

I like it. With the way he racks up stats, he could be a good advance rate piece. I really hope we can find a way to win one of the play in spots and have a series. It’s been far too long.

Cousins to the Raiders kind of sucks for the QB decision in best ball. But it should be great for Bowers.

I'm still drafting Mendoza though with the expectation he'll be starting by the playoffs.
Meh, I think I'm out. Just don't think he has the upside worth the risk. Especially on UD with only 18 rounds. Just don't see him being the QB I need putting up 25-30 in weeks 15-17.
At least he will fall to the end of the draft now. I've been fading him the whole way. It never made sense he was going ahead of guaranteed week 1 starters who also can easily start the whole season. Only have 2%, with at least one share at something like 165 as my 3rd QB stacked with Bowers.

It's not a bad contest. But I'm avoiding contests with those types of structures this year. I didn't play the first one either.
I want either a bigger first place, especially for $25, or a better advance rate to make the finals. I don't care as much about smaller finals, since you generally need big scores to win the final, regardless of the size.

Just looked up the top 5 in The War Room last year. Looks like a 149 could get you into the top 5.

All 4 Puppies required at least 168 to finish in the top 5.
Although Puppies 2 and 4 only needed 175 to actually win.
Right, I only compare the score and which prize that would have netted me in the various contests. 5th in the Puppy last year was $21,000.
Score 180 to win $20k in the War Room or 180 to win $100k in Puppy 2 or 4?
Obviously, some drafters are firing both, so they're just trying to win whatever they can. But I plan to have full focus on Puppies plus a few other select contests this season, rather than firing total contest volume.

What if undrafted Trey Lance is the guy you need? I'm not sure about the players on this team, but I scooped relative to contest opening ADPs. So many players going way higher to start the contest.
Had to push QB after Herbert. Also like compounding Love going to the Commanders with the Skattebo and Spears value.
