2024 FF sit/start thread
This was very helpful for me last season so here we go again!
Last years OP:
We're less than a week away from the season starting, so let's get a pick my lineup thread going. Some useful guidelines I would suggest:
- If you're asking a question, it'd be nice if you gave answers on someone else's question at the same time. Thread works better when there's more feedback all around
- Please list the opposing team for your players, and if pertinent, timings of games. Matchups matter, as do timings - it is not unusual to have something where you're asking two out of three playe
Yup, Charbs will be an easy play if KW misses.
Ugh. Sniped on Edwards by someone who isn't playing for a money spot.
Mattison it is, if KW doesn't play. Hopefully everyone else stays healthy on my team.
Currently projected as only 40% to win. Ironically, I was 39% to win the semi-final matchup and won by 40+ points in a .5ppr league. 2nd place pays 4x the buy-in, so I'm just happy to be in the championship.

Ryland has better weather, but Cards probably don't GAF and I can see them yoloing every 4th down. I don't know how bad Sanders situation is exactly. Also I just have a hard time trusting Dolphins players in December in the cold. It seldom works out well.

Yeah, I think I play Dobbins. If Dobbins is also out, Vidal is a fun upside play, but the floor is low. Haskins or other RBs could be involved.
Mattison has a great matchup, but he needs TDs and catches.

Indy D or Philly D?
Points scored as shown below. No CD makes me lean Philly, but with Hurts out, I'm not sure the offense can stay on the field long either, which could impact the defense.

Jennings and Kittle vs Purdy and Bates.
Healthy led but bouns scoring at 100 150 200 rush rec and 300 350 400 passing.
Feels like Jamo over Jennings in this flex spot.
Nice play. My rule of thumb for defenses is to always opt for the stronger defense when the matchups seem close. I hate playing bad defenses, even in good matchups.

Honestly, I saw a fb group post where a ton of people recommended Philly. Then with CD out, and remembering what the eagles did to Dallas the first tine they played.....i figured it was worth the risk.
Luckily my opponent had a lot of underperformers this week, so even with Burrow going crazy, I'm a lock to win decisively.
