2024 FF sit/start thread
This was very helpful for me last season so here we go again!
Last years OP:
We're less than a week away from the season starting, so let's get a pick my lineup thread going. Some useful guidelines I would suggest:
- If you're asking a question, it'd be nice if you gave answers on someone else's question at the same time. Thread works better when there's more feedback all around
- Please list the opposing team for your players, and if pertinent, timings of games. Matchups matter, as do timings - it is not unusual to have something where you're asking two out of three playe
Think I'm stuck starting Chubb tonight. Such an ugly spot but Hunt is likely not a good play with Pacheco back, so I need to occupy that RB slot. Season on the line starting two Browns, I like pain.
Need to pick up a TE with Engram on a bye.

Basically a flip, but I think I go Ertz. He's simply been more consistent this season, and you know as well as anybody the state of the Cowboys defense haha.

Backups are Akers and Roschon. If it complicates matters I am staring down Njoku as questionable for TNF, though seems like he'll play. Question is do I want to sink two CLE players into a TNF matchup against a tough D when I must win this week.

Chubb vs Hunt is really tough. Both probably need a TD. Both probably seeing 10-12 touches, as I doubt the Chiefs just throw Pacheco out there for a ton of snaps and 20 touches in his first game back, especially against the Panthers. I think I might go Hunt given the matchup, but it's gross. Neither have been very efficient.

Chubb start worked out. Didn't watch the game but he fell forward for two TD's which is nice.
Variance: also started Njoku who apparently dropped one of those TD's a play or two before.
All things considered, positive result.
Nice, glad to hear you stuck with Chubb instead of Hunt. He wasn't efficient, but he got the TDs.
The Njoku drop actually resulted in Jameis's rushing TD, so had he not dropped it, you would have benefitted all around.

If you need a higher ceiling, Richardson. If you need a better floor, Stroud.
If that's the most obvious answer ever, my gut says just go Stroud.
I'm probably just taking my chances with Richardson. Stroud's fantasy production has been so disappointing, especially with the Texans establishing it with Mixon.

I was actually thinking of playing stroud for this very reason since I was a decent favorite against a pretty bad team. After TNF it’s a flip though (I had Pickens, he had jeudy, Warren, Steelers d). Think I’m going Richardson now, he’s higher in almost every weekly rankings I’ve seen
Now that purdy is out, I’m in a tough spot at wr. Non ppr, pick one:

Think I’m leaning downs. I read somewhere on Twitter that reed only ran 12 routes last week, so strange
Just lost Purdy and already had Bijan and Hall on byes. Need to drop one of the following

Amari Cooper (on bye, I’m pretty weak at WR)
To replace Purdy, have the following options:

Geno vs ARI
Leaning Tua and dropping Allgeier, who I’m not even sure would end up the starter should Bijan go down (I also have Mixon sitting in my flex spot each week).

Leaning stroud. Despite a rough year, has been better when nico plays and best possible matchup

Two elite options. Might just go chiefs to avoid a cross matchup (playing against broncos in another leauge)

Was going to start cowboys but now leaning commanders since it looks like lock will start instead of Tommy cutlets
