YouTube Videos- Best of the Best

YouTube Videos- Best of the Best

Seems like a lot of YouTube videos are popping up in threads, and I thought it might be helpful (to me, at least) to put the best of the best in one place. My vision is only the top tier videos- those that gave you an "ah-ha" moment. For me, it's a simple one, but truly an "ah-ha" moment for my game:

I watch this video and wonder why I ever see anyone chipping differently, and why I ever did. If I didn't see 80% of the golfers I golf with have weird-ass chipping styles, I'd even say this stuff is "too simple," but if anyone needs chipping help, this video is it in my opinion. It didn't take much practice to get this down, and now, I hit the shot I want to 95% of the time, and the mistakes come from picking the wrong club and getting the wrong distance. I chip/bump and run from pretty far off the green, down to a 7 iron, sometimes 6. My error percentage with this shot is way better than a pitch. It's such an easy motion, it baffles me that not everyone can do it.

(One of the reasons I'm posting this one is because chipping and putting are the only things I'm actually good at....still looking for those other videos that will change the rest of my game, ha)

Pretty good watch some of you might find interesting.

Been loving all the Greg Rose TPI videos but this one especially stuck out.

Just have never seen someone break down the downswing sequence as:

1. Weight shift
2. Right Tilt
3. Twist
4. Jump

before. And the realization that basically all of #1 and most of #2 happen before the club starts coming down is huge.

Related to that video, can't recommend the Chasing Scratch podcast strongly enough, especially if you're in the mid-40s'ish age group. Super good and fun listen.

I attended their Final Major and Velcren Invitational tournament last October, and they are super chill friendly guys in person, and the entire cult, er I mean group, is great also. 😃
