Upon opening the software, all I see is a black screen with a single line of black text saying "There is no content at..."，no idea what is going on

Could you please try to download and install WebView 2 https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?LinkId=2124703
You should run the WebView installation as administrator. Otherwise you will get an error that the program is already installed.
