Feeling: Pensive, dripping catharsis
For the longest time I thought Michigan was meh (I was clinically depressed) and that the great areas just outside the city propper were boring. I could not have been more wrong, and I know this to be true now. When I step outside on days of breathable air, I am met with instant tranquility. I feel like the city has a population of 1 - just me baby. The green nature is fertile and blooms with resplendence. The roads are driven by cautious drivers usually (very not true as you get closer to Detroit City) and it really does feel like a small slice of heaven.
But that air, man. Holy sh*t it's horrible right now. I took off my KN-95 mask for science and took a single breath outside and felt my lungs burn a tiny bit. Not to mention it smells horrible and is thick.
