Quantum Entanglement (A Love Story)
I've thought this is the most powerful song on The Bends.
“For a moment everything was clear, and when that happens you see that the world is barely there at all. Don't we all secretly know this? It's a perfectly balanced mechanism of shouts and echoes pretending to be wheels and cogs, a dreamclock chiming beneath a mystery-glass we call life. Behind it? Below it and around it? Chaos, storms. Men with hammers, men with knives, men with guns. Women who twist what they cannot dominate and belittle what they cannot understand. A universe of horror and loss surrounding a single lighted stage where mortals dance in defiance of the dark.”
Stephen King
Skubal is as mechanically gifted as any pitcher in history.
I believe this season is when everyone figures this out.
Open the floodgates.
I'm getting back in the gym later today (It's 4:20am my time).
Gonna ease back into it.
Something like 1 mile, 3 times per day at a casual treadmill speed.
I over-did it by a lot during the earlier parts of this insomnia journey.
I was walking up to 10 miles per day, after being totally sedentary for months.
I developed blisters all over my feet.
My friends begged me to see a doctor.
Tomorrow I'm running errands for a friend who is sans automobile, and then we are grabbing New Haven Style pizza, and then a little later I'm charging my car.
On monday night I'm hanging out with another 2p2'er at his place.
On tuesday I'm going to play a lot of live poker.
I've never been much to plan my life in advance, mostly because there was nothing to look forward to.
The times. They are a changing.
This is a chill and easy song to learn on Electric Guitar.
A real panty dropper I might add.
The state of unregulated online poker seems to be at its lowest.
I'm so glad I get to play in one of the regulated States in America.
Shout out to "Big" Gretchen Whitmer, who made it a priority to legalize poker and gambling in her first days in office.
I lived walking distance from The Sphere last year, yet never made it inside.
That was dumb.
I was raised like an animal by my Father.
Probably a dog, but who knows.
One thing he used to do with his Rolex.
He refracted the ceiling light against the walls, and I chased the light around much to both of our delights.
I hope you can forgive me for double+ posting Art in this blog.
Being original is very important to me.
I learned more from Doug's free youtube videos than I have learned anywhere else in the known universe.
Shoutout to Doug Polk. I think of him as The Bobby Fischer of Poker, kinda. He was the #1 heads up player in the world in 2013, which is the year that my life started falling apart for the 2nd time.
He also staked me very briefly in 2008, at 50nl, along with many other BBV'ers during the 1st great era of 2p2.
I believe there will be a 2nd.
This has been the best three weeks of my adult life.
I've barely slept, and barely accomplished a thing outside of this blog.
I am seriously giddy at the future's possibilities for me.
Buy this game and compete against my high scores.
Everybody's been there
Everybody's been stared down by the enemy
Fallen for the fear and done
Some disappearing
Bow down to the mighty
But don't run, stop holding your tongue
Maybe there's a way out of the cage where you live
Maybe one of these days you can let the light in
One of the craziest dudes alive, a very dear friend of mine, was released from prison almost one month ago.
We are like brothers, and he definitely has my back.
He's also one of the best small stakes live poker players in the world.
No joke.
Having him in my corner has made me truly fearless.
I'm very tempted to write publicly on my experiences in Four different psych wards over the years.
But there is a, "what happens in vegas, stays in vegas" kinda feel to it.
It's also not that interesting.
I'll summarize the four, and will consider sharing more in the future.
1) Tortured for two weeks
2) Felt like an awkard Summer Camp
3) Military Training with Three Other Heroes
4) Tortured for seven weeks
I strongly recommend clicking this link.
Some things I will not do for even One Billion USD:
- Jump out of a plane
- Deep sea diving, or really anything below snorkling, definitely anything requiring an oxygen tank
