Is it still possible to get Diamond in a Day?
I have read about it in the past, just curious.
In 2024 I noticed for the first time that some of the Las Vegas 5x promotions were only giving 3x for VP, and this was what I earned during one of those weeks. The upcoming promo in OP's post in January does not make any mention of reduced rates for VP though. Looks like 10x across the board.
Also, it may or may not be a conspiracy theory, but like some others, I've had unbelievably bad luck on multiplier days. Even after the 5x or 10x I've lost a lot more money than on past no-multiplier days for a given number of tc earned. I lost $2200 trying to earn 1500 tc the last time I played a 5x day. Which means I didn't even earn 300 tc! I said enough is enough and just gave up.
Yeah I have taken some pretty bad beatings on multiplier days too, but decided that it might be the result of me staying too long at a losing session and pushing for points rather than getting up to take a break and change games. It's probably just a mirage, but you are definitely not the only person I know who's had this exact experience. And your earlier comment about Caesars not having good pay tables is spot on. It is pointless to look for anything really good, but it certainly helps to know how to tell a mediocre pay table from a really bad one, just in case.

Allegedly vp has to be true random so if you know the pay table you know the payout.

My question was whether machines could be programmed to be fair in terms of total payout over time, but skew the way in which the cards came out. I wanted to know how and when the machines were audited, but I still have no idea about that. According to the letter of the law, manipulating the cards that come out seems to be illegal, but in my experience, different machines across town play very differently -- and I'm not talking about pay tables, but the frequency of straights and flushes filling etc.
I've decided to just trust that the games aren't rigged, since I like to play, but it's impossible for the average person to know if they aren't.
It is definitely not legal to alter a VP game to make the cards anything less than completely random.
FWIW, I got Diamond Plus status on one 5x multipler day playing $40,000 coin-in at $25/hand VP, and won $700 in the process. It was the best luck I had at Caesars VP all year.

If it's true that they manipulate vp to lose more, then it's illegal as hell. I believe they have to use an approved rng in the machines. The rng has a list of numbers, so it's easy to check if you're an official.
My adaptation is, that I don't play multiplier days any more. At least not where machines are involved. I've had 3 bad, way below ev, trips on multiplier days. In a row. Too much coincidence for me to argue with.
It's the nature of VP's top-heavy paytables. 2% of the EV comes from the royal flush payout. So assuming you don't hit a royal and have normal luck otherwise, all of the sudden your 98% RTP is only 96%. If you turn that normal luck into slightly bad luck, it's easy to be "way below EV."
My buddy and I played Jacks or Better at Caesars Palace during their last 10x multiplier and profited despite no royal. Probably 150k coin-in between us

I've played short sessions to hit a specific number of points at various casinos (when I was playing a lot). In those short (1-2 hour) sessions it wasn't rare to lose 10% of coin-in with single line play.

There's a 10x multiplier Jan. 20-26...do those TCs count for the current year or will they hit your account in the new year that starts Feb. 1?

The TC accumulation period is the same as a the calendar year, January 1 through Dec. 31. The status you earn from TC accumulation in 2025 will be good through January 31 of 2027 (unless they change something about their program before the New Year).
So it is strategically best to earn your tier credits near the start of the year, and you will have that status for two full years.
what do you mean by for two full years? Like if we earn 15000 TC in the first month we get Diamond status till 2027? Or do we have to earn more than that for 2 years?

What is the best food bang for your buck in Vegas for the $100 celebration?
Most of the posts I see are best places to eat to treat yourself- I just want to get as many meals out of the voucher as possible. Buffet is technically the most food but only a single meal.
(And not drinks- I heard about people using it all on Starbucks.)
You have to use the celebration dinner all at once. There's no "change", so you can't use it for multiple meals unless you have them all at once.
A hundo doesn't go as far in Vegas restaurants as it used to. I used mine on the Caesars buffet this year.
i recently unlocked the 3rd tier for penn and was amped to get a "free cruise" and so i asked at the player services place and they had no clue

Yeah, I did that when that place was there before the Flavortown place (Burger Brasserie?) I got 3 meals plus pie, etc. Unfortunately the place that would be best to do that is the 24 hour cafe in Paris, but they're not CET owned.

Are there full pay Jacks or Better VP in any of the Caesars properties at $5 denom? If not the next best would be the 9/5 VP to achieve the diamond in a day at a shorter period of time? Only looking to play jacks or better.
In Vegas I don't think so. In Tahoe or Cherokee maybe.
You can just Google video poker (casino) and you get a pretty good list on vpfree.
