This now stands for this thread:
Trooper97 vlogs, discussions etc. will be allowed to continue in the new thread. That thread will not be unchained and I will work with the other LVL mods to keep it civil.
I personally am not going to allow a lot of the horrible posting that went on in the original thread to take place and I will be very generous with post deletions and bans if needed.
Posts the are overly derogatory, mean spirited, name calling (including using rude derivatives of names) , and demeaning posts towards any of the vloggers or posters in the thread will be deleted at the mods discretion. If any accounts persistently do this they will be banned or exiled from posting in this thread. In these cases we may issue a warning first.
Accounts that are used only to or substantially to troll post in this thread will be banned.
No personal family information or situations allowed in the thread.
Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
Diesel is on a rocket ship to the moon and looks like Pman has progressed to those faster acting edibles, so cheers all around.
Pman should play even less poker and just be an AP slots vulture/spotter, no chance of him ever being 86’ed at a casino lol. He could sit all day at one of those NFL football machines, only play during the 2 minute drills and I still think management would leave him alone.
If god wanted pman to stop doing what he’s doing, he wouldn’t let him almost bink a bracelet.
You guys ever think about that? Losers…
Rice has changed. Only a week on the job, and he is already cruising around in strange neighborhoods and living it up eating corn dogs at fast food joints. By the end of the month he will probably be popin' bottles in the clubs.
Its a little bit early to draw the big conclusions, but yeah i agree its amazing what earning decent money instead of scraping by below poverty wages will do with a person.
If he does keep this up and complete the full 6 weeks of dealing i was dead wrong, so hats off to him if he does just that.
it's the other way around
delusional and lazy people are often hooked on the poker pro lifestyle because to them it looks like an endless source of easy money where they can "set their own schedule and be their own boss"
when it turns out it's not quite like that, they are too lazy and delusional to cut their losses and move on, so they linger around relying on handouts from the family and general public
Nailed it. What is worse is that girl that stays with him. With a body like that she sure doesn't need an unemployed loser like Tim.
I hope he keeps it up as well.
Before he started dealing I thought there was a good chance this would actually open his eyes to the fact there is way more opportunity out there than his sub min wage poker "pro" career. It was actually sad hearing him think that or some 8 dollar an hour ups job he had was as good as it gets.
I am seriously blown away with the changes to Diesel’s mental state in the last month. Even how he talks is somewhat more calm, structured, and dare I say normal.
It’s a reminder to all of us to always look beyond where we think our boundaries are and to be compassionate for those stuck in situations like Diesel was.
It’s a lot easier to be compassionate when the person is not telling you that you are a miserable loser and how you’re an idiot for spending so much money on comforts and food and laundry when you could just eat from the sewer and live in a van down by the river
Will he have his expenses creep up now that he’s experienced the finer things in life that come with the wealth you earn as a part time dealer at the orleans
Yeah +1 to LDV, no one forget that diesel called us all miserable, rich, idiots as he struggled to read about a sandwich platter in a coupon book even though reading coupons is one of his hobbies.
When diesel doesn’t have to worry about money anymore at the end of the summer (just one less thing) He needs to put together a diesel clip show of all his classic moments. The cooking, brain fog after challenges, the poop towel or beard hair pile.
I’m liking the WSOP vlogs from Think Blue Poker. He’s been dealing at the WSOP last few weeks and it’s all interesting to me. He may try and grind 1/3 and 2/5 after the series is over.

Idiots and miserable yes but I don't think he ever called us rich .
Lol at Rice getting mad respect ITT for finally figuring out about earning money from working a regular job dealing cards. Something that most of us were saying all along... that he could make about 5 times as much money by just sitting on the other side of the table. And with no losing days/weeks to cause him mental breakdowns.
The remarkable thing is that after 20 years dominating academics, plan A was to be a min stakes promo grinder/nomad, and plan B was this.
I guess he deserves a little pat on the back for finally making a decision in his life that actually makes some sense. But please, lets not go nuts with all the accolades. Reminds me of how this thread reacted when he shaved his beard. Gushing like he had turned into an Adonis that was going to start slaying cocktail waitresses lol
Alright Mr. Glass-is-5%-empty.
Rice should be cautious of accepting these new ideas. Next thing you know, his bubble will be burst and he won’t know who he is anymore. Rice will no longer be spoon food.
Of all the times when Trooper decides to quit (take a break?) from poker he does it during the WSOP where his fans have repeatedly shown they will put him in whatever tournament he wants as a freeroll.
How very odd and funny

Im happy for rice. Maybe with less financial strain he'll be open to playing part time and actually improving his game.
Sadly, Rice's professional success is hurting his social media efforts. Dude, we get it - if not needed in tournaments, you check with cash; if cash doesn't need dealers, you check with the tournament area. WE GET IT. Not sure how many days he can keep up vlogging his work day. He's somehow found content less interesting than his challenges.

Lol true. I havent watched his vlog in many days, because its not entertainment anymore.

the opening thesis that "live poker has never been more profitable than it is now" is blatantly false

Yup and yet his views are at an all time high. Averaging 2-5k views per video since he started dealing.
What can you do in an Airbnb?
R isn't the hookers and blow type, but cooking is a fire hazard and malodorous.
the opening thesis that "live poker has never been more profitable than it is now" is blatantly false
Poker had an explosion of players such as younger players and women who researched strategy during online covid period which carried over to in person games in 2024 to avoid online bots and online collusion, such that an ideal profit center now focuses on selling candy to poker players.
