Update April 2018

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
i'd be careful with those stories though
it's very common for losing players to try to explain away why they aren't playing heavy volume, playing low stakes, don't have much money but saying it's things outside the felt
"I've been focused on studying so haven't put in the volume"
"I'm doing a bankroll challenge at 1-2 which is why i'm not playing 2-5 anymore"
"I just had a costly medical emergency"
"I'm only broke because i lose it all back at the pits"
way easier for people to invent an excuse or eve
I agree with you for the most part but from watching aero's videos he is very solid at poker. I don't doubt he's a solid winner at 2/5.
80% win rate seems insane though, not sure how he can manage that.
Rice now comments that he would not recommend a job unless you can make enough to retire within 1 to 2 years. Say what you will, but the guy understands life.
In Rice world, there is only two ways to become wealthy. Play poker or be a head coach in a highly rated football conference.
Since there is a vast conspiracy against Rice requiring experience to get that coaching job at a football powerhouse team, even though he would be the best candidate for the job, Rice has chosen poker.
thinkbluepoker wins $110 in a 1/2 game in 3 hours and is so excited that he decides to test his luck and play baccarat.
He is aiming to play 1,000 hours but only plays for 3 hours? Is he planning on playing 7 days a week? He's already falling behind his goal.
He has 0 discipline, I don't think he'll last past february for his poker hours challenge.
He'll quit once he has a losing/break even stretch when he goes busto because he has no roll and he's not a winning player.
Winning players would have winning results tracked over a relevant sample size, not start tracking and then stop tracking when things go bad and constantly resetting your numbers like these losing players in denial tend to do.
Thinkblue needs to just study and save up a small roll instead of constantly shot taking with a $500-1000 roll and assuming he's a winning player without the results.
I don't think he'll last past Friday for his poker hours challenge.

didn't think there could be a worse poker vlogger than Rice so I gave TBP a try and boom was I in for a shock.
these people cannot be taken seriously
Rice now comments that he would not recommend a job unless you can make enough to retire within 1 to 2 years. Say what you will, but the guy understands life.
This is consistant with Rice's overall warped view of finances. I daresay the amount of money he thinks is enough to retire is less than just about any other human living in the developed world.
He believes that he's making "solid money" from poker when in reality it's well below minimum wage and is mainly all from comps and promos. At his peak when he was making ~$15 per hr, he considered that to be making riches. However he claims that's no longer possible from poker so doesn't recommend it as a full time source of income.
I think Rice is waiting for a call from the Carolina Panthers since they just let go their head coach. Don't know if he would consider an offer from the Chicago Bears, probably not a good match with ownership for his advanced strategies.
The sad thing is if he has been dealing since he moved to Vegas, and playing poker and/or making candy on the side, he would be quite comfortable financially. Pokerkraut has been dealing and hustling and lives in a nice big house.
But of course, working for The Man is beneath Trooper.
He wasn’t making money from poker though. Of course if he put in enough effort to be as good as El Diesel, then sure he would be doing much better. He used to have followers give him hundreds a month on his Patreon account too.
Yeah it must be painful for him to ponder how he tanked his own poker channel while most poker players and slot players behind him boomed.
If he just listened to the criticism, he could have been a slot/poker/vegas vlog powerhouse. Easily.
Million subs at least, hiring an editor, hiring people to make candy, selling merch....
I don’t think he ponders that stuff at all. He surrounds himself only with people that tell him he is doing great, and tell him he will succeed. That’s probably one reason why Lady Trooper goes along with this. She only hears from fans that say they are crushing it. Trooper goes through her comment section getting rid of hater comments before she can even see them.

This reminds me of TBC saying he felt insanely rich when he first got to $30k.
That is perfect for Rice, he would have to skip the basement trip though.
Lol, watched a couple of recent vlogs from Think Blue Poker just to see whats the fuzz all about and man are you kidding me. What a complete delusional degen. Talking about "massive 100 dollar pot" in a basically unbeatable 1/2 game with 100 cap buyin. Says in the commens he is gonna build up a roll grinding that game, best of luck with that sir lmao.
Another clown to keep Trooper, Pchild and Rice with company.

And supports a wife and a lot of kids too.

What's the over/under on him working for him again before the year's out?
I find it more odd that he's overweight on only $200-$250/month of food. I know he hibernates at his parents' over the winter, but apparently he also has a very slow hibernation metabolism year-round. The dude is part bear.
The cheapest food is also some of the crappiest and full of worthless calories and fat.

This guy sounds like a 5 year old child. There's nobody between a homeless guy trying to grind 7 bucks an hour and a coach with a tens of millions dollar contract? A fulltime burger flipper should look wealthy to Diesel. Thirty five grand a year AND health insurance?
Exactly. His primary protein source is the cheapest available sausage meats. The only veggies he eats are onions and peppers. Other than that his other staples are canned fish mixed with stolen mayo packets. Can you imagine his breath after he does one of his homeless for the weekend challenges, I'll bet he doesn't even bother to brush his teeth.

He would have a better chance winning the lottery.
Pman is ready to get coaching except...
this is for you if you:
- play more than 10hrs/week
- already winning at $2/5 live or above
So he plays less than 10 hours a week and he's a losing player but this is the training course he was looking at.
Also, does he think good training sites are cheap? No idea why Pman keeps skipping the most important part of being a winning player which is a solid fundamental base and straightforward strategy especially at low stakes.
FYI, he's still looking for permanent backing. His DM's are open.
Memorize one of the many preflop charts available. Bet good hands. Check when you miss and fold to a bet. Rinse repeat. It's not hard. Once you get that down pat, then you can add exploits and open up your game in the right situations.
But remember, he's saved up so much money, he only needs to work 3 out of the last 5 years and definitely didn't need the Sahara job when he had that and were open and definitely didn't need the Westgate job.

He can't quite make up his mind. He's only poor when it suits him to have his hand out begging for staking or free coaching. At other times he's bragging about being able to live his life on his terms and without having to work. Also loves talking as if he's doing well from crypto. He needs to pick a narrative and commit to it. You can't have it both ways.

Imagine how low of actual protein those garbage sausages really contain, good god. Its basically contains of fat, bones, overleft crap++. In scandi land these kind of low quality foods its called MUK, and it roughly means mechanicly processed meat.
But of course in Nomads imagination those are healthy proteinsources worth being one of the main components in your daily diet.
I really don't think he thinks like that. he mostly considers caloric intake necessary to sustain life. as long as he reaches the bottom line, he is living #pokerlife
the most obvious thing is PokerNomad most certainly values quantity over quality.
he has zero interest in quality anything
In today's video, Rice shows us the simple bath to retiring a multi millionaire, starting with a simple $80k nut and contributing a mere $4k/year. Plan actually seems reasonable, factoring in a few key assumptions . . . like consistent 10% market growth and not paying taxes on dividends. Solid watch.
