Update April 2018
********************
OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
The fact he's decided to play 2/5 right after dealing w ton for 2 months and making real money for once shows how horrible he did in 2022 and 2023 at poker.
I think he said he was doing it as another one of his challenges after his fans voted for it.
He said in a comment he was only buying in for $300-$400 so I don’t think this is a serious attempt at moving up. I think he is only playing a certain amount of hours for about a week before he moves back to his usual stakes.

His "challenges" are just things he's trying to do anyway.
Challenge im only gonna eat on comps for 5 days. When he really just doesn't want to spend money on food
I mean yea he's just gonna dip his toe in the water with the buy ins but he wouldnt have dared to try without the dealing job.
Any chance El D is actually playing correct short stack strategy?
I'm guessing the flight was more $ than any steak house in Vegas.
He should just follow David Williams on X and he would know where to go in LV.
I'm guessing since El Diesel didn't show us his usual absurd way of printing of a boarding pass that herbs and rye bought his plane flight for him.
In terms of poker I wouldn’t be surprised if 2024 is even worse. I’m expecting him to make a loss at 2/5 and given how low his win rate is it’ll take him a while to grind it back at 1/3.
1 month to break even from 2/5 losses
2 months dealing
3 months hiding in parents basement
This gives him 6 months to profit from poker . At his stakes and win rate thats $8/hr for 40 hours a week = $7,680.

That's still better than most players.

Why does he do challenges he dislikes?
The millennium challenge should be getting laid.
Sex of his preference.
No chance!
My guess is Rice is playing way tighter than optimal short stack strategy.
What happened to Rice's best friend from back East that was posting in this thread??

O/u on how fast he bolts if he doubles?
My guess is he plays the free hands till his big blind and makes some absurd preflop raise if he gets aces.

He doesn't know what the optimal strategy is, short stack or otherwise.

Ill bet he knows it. He just doesn't implement it. It would require putting his money at risk too often.

But why continue dealing? LUL

The whole thing with the challenges is laughable. There are zero consequences for him not finishing a challenge, so what is even the point of them exactly?
In his latest challenge he still needed 22 hours over the last 2 days in order to complete it, but he throws a massive hissy fit and chucks the whole thing in because he lost $180 with AA to QQ in a totally standard spot.
It perfectly demonstrates why he is not cut out to make a living from poker. He can't handle even the smallest swings or the slightest run of bad variance without completely blowing his gasket.
I guess the only positive is that he doesn't tilt his money off, because instead he just runs away from the table and refuses to play unless everything is going exactly how he thinks it should.
I would love to see a vlog by the guy that won the hand.
Yeti looking guy bets big on the river after an OMC bets half his SS check and expects him to fold top set.
Rice's line made zero sense. He was clicking buttons.
Rice is as much of a big as any OMC. It's funny to hear him critique the guy here.

His entire poker thought process is so warped. He thinks he can't bet AA here bc worse never calls. Well then in that case you should be 3 betting a lot more pre and barreling people off of marginal hands. Does he do that? No.
He plays so timid that he's scared to bet AA here and it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. When he finally does get action it is in fact bc AA is beat. He has ZERO self awareness.
His whole "every time I have a good hand and get action I'm either beat or they only have 50 dollars in their stack" whoa is me I run so bad routine is hilarious. He's never once stopped to think why that is. When he folds for 5 hours and finally wakes up the only action he's getting is from either a monster hand, a monster draw, a committed short stack and 2 percent of the player pool who doesn't realize how tight he plays. Yea no **** when he flops 2 pair and puts his stack in it's no good 90 percent of the time. That's not running bad. It's playing bad.
It's also funny that he never once mentions stack sizes in this hand.
You all forgot the best part. Diesel deciding the board is scary enough on the river that he turns AA into a bluff. Not only that, he thinks raising a $30 bet to $85 is enough to fold out top set but wanted to really pour on the pressure and it make it $125.
THIS is the real reason Diesel doesn't give hand histories on key or interesting hands. His logic into bet sizings and his whole thought process shows why he maxed out at $14/hr lifetime and why he made sub five figures last year and couldn't cover his expenses strictly from poker winnings.
This is also why he doesn't give current day to day results. It would literally just be a bunch of two figure win/loss decisions every session.
