Update April 2018

OK Vlogger Thread, we are going with some new parameters to try to make this the POSITIVE vlogger thread that it is supposed to be, not the AIDS vlogger thread where a few loonies ruin it for the rest. Note that 'positive' does not equal 'only positive', it means anything negative being said CAN'T be namecalling or wild, unsubstantiated speculation regarding any and all vloggers. Personal lives and anything aside from poker is OFF THE TABLE.

A new update March 2019:
NO ****ING POLITICS!
Y’all have me going back and watching this dude’s old videos
In one from his “Law School is a Scam” Series subtitled “Tuition and Other Finances” ,
Rice claims to have received a total of $90k in scholarship money over 3 years.
He also comments during this same video that at some point during law school,
he decided he wasn’t going to be a lawyer and wasn’t going to take the bar. So he’s claiming that he never took a bar.
He doesn’t say specifically “I graduated from LS” in this video but the implication is there &
He has probably said so in other videos
i think what's more likely is he never passed it than he chose not to take it
there's no way he went through law school and went straight into being homeless and grinding comps to get by, there must have been an extended period of time of getting kicked in the face before you wound up there
ie think about the existence of prostitutes
then think about most people you know irl who are not prostitutes and what terrible series of events would be required to happen in their lives to lead them to that po
I'm pretty sure he had PTSD from Rubricgate and never took the bar.
ELD lost a court case regarding apartment security deposit despite being the cleanest and best tenant ever which caused a chain reaction leading to nomadic existance:
German cars are for suckers they burn oil and don't even have lug nuts you have to fight to mount the wheel unlike easily installed Japanese and American wheel hubs with a lug nut.
That's because you're not using the tool they give you. It inserts into a bolt lug hole and you hang the wheel on it. after you snug up the remaining lug bolts, you pull the tool out and put in the final lug bolt.
Lol Lady Trooper would say this stuff about El Diesel is none of our business.
Boy I really hope there isn't a part four of these Q&As with H&R.
Also LOL at the dude saying Texas poker is tough because of Euro regs. They literally play at the two TCH rooms in Dallas and that's about it.
Came across a new to me vlogger who drives home Rice's point about how tough Vegas games are as he lost $4200 (he says $5k) in LV this summer.
Monte Poker is the vlogger

For many many many players, the #1 motivation in playing poker is not to maximize winnings or to play optimally, where the variance can be highest, but to simply enjoy the game and socialize. Many people are willing to dedicate a certain amount of money to poker and not have it interfere with their budgets or savings. If they play a higher variance style and go on a big losing streak, it can interfere with their ability to continue playing or take away from their monthly savings they put away fo
Except i was mainly talking about serious for profit players, parttime pros or weekend pros that have massive mental leaks regarding leaving money on the table cause they have such a weak mental game in terms of handling swings.
Of course its totally understandable that rec players/hobby players or players that dont mainly play to win money doesnt approach the game like this, you are slamming into open doors.

All of the monologues at his desk should be deleted then re-recorded at the Paris parking garage.

but ELD doesn't play poker to socialize or enjoy the experience, he doesn't seem to like playing the game as he literally does not share any moments from the tables, and he does not play poker to max profits either.
he plays poker in order to exist and pretend he's a pro at something and to "create" boring meaningless content that droolers compliment and realistic people laugh at
Because a lot of people at low stakes are bad players. Did you see his call with K2 that I mentioned?
Someone once told me that it felt like everyone he played with in the Aria 1-3 game seemed like a pro, and this was years ago when the buy-in was only $300. To someone like that, a $500 cap probably would make the game more intimidating.
I watch maybe 3 vloggers these days. They are rarely mentioned here anymore.
My game at my home casino is 1/3 400cap and it’s not that different than any 1/3 or 2/5 game I’ve ever sat in at Aria, Wynn or anywhere else on the strip.
One could always buy in shorter than the cap and add on as they feel better about the game they’re in. It’s a maximum, not a requirement. Or just lie about knowing the cap had moved up.
Diesel's mind is blown in today's vlog when he learns people win over 10 big blinds an hour at 2-5.
His position before was $50/hr was some mythical win rate at 2-5 that people always say but never approach.
Herbs and Rye thinks $75/hr is possible. His new buddy says he approached $100/hr.
Guess Diesel thinks they are both liars as well. Lol.

Of course a genius like him made 14 dollars an hour or so at his peak so that much be the upper echelon of earning potential in poker.
Think Blue new video post he leaves at 5 am to Los Angeles for the purpose of ostensibly making $1800 per week with Uber. Thus no further parking garage videos from Paris are forthcoming. He states to pick the underdog whenever there is at least a 9 1/2 points spread for his new sports betting system.
how come every dude that wears a jersey and has a system and knows the ins and outs of sports betting are always broke?

the allure of sports betting is that for a lot of people their knowledge of certain sports/players/teams are the only thing they have genuine expert level knowledge on and they don't understand that the market is set by people with similar or more expert knowledge and it comes with a massive vig which requires you to win at a healthy clip just to break even
i'd guess most casual sports bettors who are still down overall over a large sample have still won over half their wagers
like i was talking about earlier, the difference between busto - profitable - millionaire is like <53%, 54%, 55%+
it really is that thin of a margin
If you've watched some of his older videos he is kind of a young Rice. Nitty. Inexperienced. Seems like a nice kid though.
As for Rice, do we know for a fact he graduated law school? I thought he lost the mock trial and said F you?

If Rice actually graduated from the Law Skool, the skool should have a record of it that is public.
There are indeed people who graduate and don't take the bar for a variety of reasons. I personally didn't take the bar for a number of years after graduating.
For those that have waited more than a year or so to take the bar, you are going to have to take a prep course. These are a tremendous cost of time & effort. They can also be rather pricey. Barbri, arguably the best service out there, is about $6K? You go to the lecture M-F for 8+ hours a day for a few weeks, then you have thousands of pages of examples & sample tests to take.
For Diesel to seriously prepare for a bar exam, he would have to come up with MANY thousands of dollars, and would have to dedicate 40+ hours a week for several months. I would think that would cut into his poker playing time. His bankroll would also take a massive hit.
Why would he take it though? What law firm/company is going to hire him as an attorney? The only thing I think he would have a CHANCE at doing is document review. Even that is "iffy".
At this point, I don't think there is a benefit to him becoming a licensed attorney.
shouldn't the wager amount be $1,100?
it is and that's how the math is done there, i just used 1k the way it's colloquially used
the way people say it though if you're dealing with -odds the wager is what you'll win whereas when dealing with +odds it's the amount is what is risked
it's a pretty standard nomenclature even used by the books as well, here's a pph account with $500 limits as an example

ELD should work for legal aid services and defend low income tenants from eviction cases although he could end up convincing his clients it is easier to become a nomad. When the client comes to ELD's office then ELD will promptly file a motion for a continuance and then direct his clients to sign up for his newsletter and watch his channel and play poker to get tier level. ELD will give legal advice to fold every hand except AA although when at Redrock fold everyhing except three of a kind.

False hope is worse than no hope. False confidence is worse than no confidence.
I love a lot of sports but have no delusions I can beat sports betting legit. Bonuses whoring arbitrage smashing bad lines etc share.
But guys think that bc they watch a lot of NFL they can beat the NFL long term using fish logic. They can't. For the most part the people these days beating it straight up are running models and many of them don't even like sports. It's just a data thing.
A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.
Rice doesn't take tests.
He writes them.
actually i overestimated that recreationals with some knowledge can win at 51-52%
was curious and i dm'd a friend who works the analytics side for a major sportsbook, he's usually super cagey and won't answer much (for good reason) but he would say that anyone who wasn't a professional with a large enough sample of betting -110 wagers would nearly always merge to 50% win rate over time

He doesn't play for 2 plus months every year when he goes to his parents for the holidays. He could use that time to study. No cost other than the prep course. That sweet Orleans dealer money should cover that. Invest in your future, Diesel!
This is ThinkBluePoker's buddy Brandon, he landed a dealer job at the Venetian.
